This image, taken on Sonoma County's rocky coast, shows the scene of the shoreline on a lovely day at the beach with a camera. With the setting sun just a few degrees above the horizon (out of frame), the shadows were cast long and almost parallel with the sea. Thank you for looking!

One of my goals for my fall photography is to capture aspen trees receiving the first light of day on the tops of the trees. For this scene, I visited a location that had lots of hills and undulation, which provided the perfect landscape to maximize my ability to capture scenes like this one. I hope you like it as much as I do!

Pushed this one a little too far. But, that's what I was going for...

We went apple picking today in Readfield, Maine. A very pretty location with a nice view of the mountains in the west. This was on the property. This rig used a one horse power engine. I remember seeing my grandfather using one on his farm in Minnesota. Putting up hay was and is an important part of farming. We got some nice apples; honey crisp, Macintosh, and Cortland varieties.

-Jade, what are you doing?

-I’m RAKING!

OK, not sure why this says Nikon, I took this on my phone. This is why we should never trust technology. AS. Artificial Stupidity.
