My first Barbie Extra. I passed on wave 1 because I didn't love any of their outfits. I dig this pink ensemble. The necklace ain't bad either. I also made this rainbow background in one of my Creatable World boxes. It has functioning doors and drawers.

My dolls were so excited, for I finally did it! I got up the courage to go outside and take a photo shoot series! It was so much fun and felt liberating! My neighbor did look over at me from his yard, but I didn't even care. Ha! :)
I was having fun posing the dolls. I really tried to make each scene filled with emotion and looking natural.
(I posted the photo descriptions on every photo for ease of reading.)
Scene 01:
Rio and Jerrica are having a touching heart to heart moment.
Scene 02:
Aja and Craig are playfully teasing each other. Craig is trying to grab Aja's sunglasses. He pulled them off of her face, and she just grabbed them back.
Scene 03:
Kimber just finished putting her bathing suit on, and noticed Craig and Aja. She is trying to stifle her laugh.
Scene 04:
Jerrica is thirsty. She is asking Rio if he can go to the vending machine for her to get a bottled water.
Scene 05:
Aja and Craig see Riot walk up.
Scene 06:
I ask Aja and Craig to smile for the camera for me. :)

Riot is asking Kimber where Jem is. He thought she would be here.

Copic rainbow background with Impression Obsession Lacy Hearts die cut stacked 3 high. I filled some of the hearts with Nuvo Crystal Glaze--faux stained glass technique. SSS Painted Hello--one of my most used dies--was stacked 4 high, brushed with shimmer & covered with Nuvo Crystal Glaze. I used little alpha stickers for the word. I went on a painting spree and painted up all these backgrounds for future projects. I used some for rainbow tags for the rainbow swap. Each page is about 3 inches by 10 inches. I've got them overlapping for the picture.

A photographer friend asked an interesting question, why do YOU take photographs?
One answer for me is I love the challenge, and it still is!
Now it is with lighting, reflective objects and making it all work together the way I want it, and still be surprised, ALWAYS thrilled.
A Nylon skipping rope, a prop for a Summer photo, it reminded me of when I was a little girl, then I saw THE image... and then another, and another...
How can I resist that, such superb colours, images just begging to be taken.
Being creative is not a choice... it is an urge in me.

I wasn't too pleased with how this turned out originally, so I went a whole other way with it and this is the result.
The top left hand corner has a coloration which is coming from the rainbow formed in the background. Hope you like it.

Sur le chemin du retour hier, juste avant le coucher du soleil, nous avions le soleil dans le dos, de gros nuages foncés en avant et de la pluie qui commençait, une recette qui m'a appris que des arc-en-ciel pouvaient être doubles.
On our way back home yesterday, just before sunset, we had the sun in our back, some big dark clouds in front and it was starting to rain, a receipe which made me learn that rainbows may come in pairs.

The card is my take of CAS(E) this sketch #79.
Applied Wendi Vecchi translucent embossing paste through Tim Holtz stencil STARS. Before applying the paste I colored it in a rainbow colors. Had to work pretty fast as didn't want applied paste to start drying when I was applying the next color. Surprisingly enough - this was my first try. Didn't spoil a piece lol. When finished with the paste - sprinkled it with Judikins IRIDESCENT SPARKLE embossing powder (left it to dry and then melted the powder).
It's kind of trendy now to use black background sentiment along with rainbow background. I like how this contrast looks. As finishing touch I added some platinum thread behind the sentiment and that was it - my card was ready.

On a rainbow background made with Inktense pencils. I added the Grid pattern with a stencil and modeling paste then painted them with distress paint, The butterfly is from a sheet of re-positional wall decor highlighted with clear glitter paint. Too bad I cant photo it to show the sparkle but trust me it's there. Finished out with Sharpies, gel pen and Distress ink.
