I haven't managed to get near the darkroom for a couple of weeks now and withdrawal symptoms are kicking in. I even had to resort to scanning some negs in place of making contact sheets.
Taken on a recent trip to the Lake District, playing with depth of field on my MX. Pretty much my first outing with 35mm film in about 15 months.

For some unknown reason the inner McGoldrick Park was locked and we could not get close to the tulips.
I only found this impressive war memorial because I walked from the railway station into the village. The memorial has an inscription; "In memory of the young men of Plockton who died in the service of their country during the Great War 1914 - 1918 and 1939 - 1945".
Lest we forget
This was a difficult shot to get. I was on the ship and because of the need for 1 second shutter speed and not having a tripod on this trip. I had to brace the camera against our stateroom balcony railing.
This gorgeous male rail appeared on a walk near my house yesterday morning as I was biking by. I immediately pulled up and proceeded to photograph the cooperative bird for an hour or so. It was a so cool to see him run within about 3 inches of me at some points. Eventually a baby started running around begging to be fed, but he was super secretive and I couldn't get a great shot. 2 others started calling from around me and I decided to pack up and let them live life. I won't forget it though!

We've barely had any snow just yet, but tonight with temps at a relatively mild -1C, some moderately interesting flakes were falling. I found these two stacked flakes on the railing of the front stairs. Must have stuck together while falling...?
Pentax-M 150mm F/3.5 plus coupled reverse Pentax-M 28-50mm F/3.5-4.5 and off-camera diffused Yongnuo YN-560 III flash. I believe this was with the zoom around 45mm. Single frame, handheld. Moderate crop. I actually had to take a halogen lamp outside to help focus...

We've had a lot of grey skies, so it was nice to see some colour today.
