This was a morning when I challenged myself to make an image out of a familiar everyday scene. This line of railings will be familiar to people living in Beeston Rylands because they are part of the bridge over Beeston railway station. I was particularly drawn to the way the sunlight was picking out all the details in the ironwork. It's far from beautiful, but I find it interesting how light can create interest in even the most mundane or ugliest of landscapes.

I haven't managed to get near the darkroom for a couple of weeks now and withdrawal symptoms are kicking in. I even had to resort to scanning some negs in place of making contact sheets.

Taken on a recent trip to the Lake District, playing with depth of field on my MX. Pretty much my first outing with 35mm film in about 15 months.

After a big winter storm the snow on my deck railing got quite a sag to it without falling. The railing it self was not damaged.

Now how about this , something nice !!! Went into Leatherhead for a few bits of shopping and in the centre of the town was the usual market . However on the railings ( not just these ones either ) rows and rows of knitted angels . I did see on South West News during the week a town down that way woke up to about 900 of the knitted angels left on front doors overnight . In the case of the Leatherhead Angels they were the work of " Churches Together In Leatherhead " just left on the railings for anyone to take in the true spirit of Christmas Time .
