BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

Lilburn, Georgia

This BAPS temple was constructed after only 17 months by volunteers. The Mandir is comprised of 3 types of stone (Turkish Limestone, Italian marble, and Indian pink sandstone). More than 34,000 individual pieces were carved by hand in India, shipped to the USA and assembled in Lilburn like a giant 3-D puzzle.

These railings were damaged when a large tree fell on them during a storm. It makes for some great chaotic monochrome bokeh.

I've been trying a number of different lenses at the scene (since I go pass on my walk to work most days). This is one of my favourites so far.

The Royal Crescent, Bath

I was hoping for the big cliché shot of the sweeping curve of the Crescent, but I should have known better. I can't ever remember if there were vehicles parked on both sides now... most definitely on the curb side so this is at least resident free, tourist free and car free.

Now how about this , something nice !!! Went into Leatherhead for a few bits of shopping and in the centre of the town was the usual market . However on the railings ( not just these ones either ) rows and rows of knitted angels . I did see on South West News during the week a town down that way woke up to about 900 of the knitted angels left on front doors overnight . In the case of the Leatherhead Angels they were the work of " Churches Together In Leatherhead " just left on the railings for anyone to take in the true spirit of Christmas Time .
