Rack platform made with stainless steel to resist rusting once the panniers wear off the powdercoat.

Next, longitudinals were made and pop riveted to the top hoop assembly and marked for drilling of a bolt hole.
The initial plan was to be able to disassemble the rack at this point. However, as you will see shortly, that changed to a single one piece unit, much stronger and more pleasing to the eye.
This is a whatever rack. The shelves are supposed to be invisible, but whatever you put on them sinks to the bottom. It was standing up on one wheel when found, but I thought it made a better picture laying down on it's side.

Chilean Cabernet franc. Still fermenting slowly but pretty close to done. Lots of tannin in this. Will let it stew for a month or so, see what settles, rack and taste. Have aging tannins I can add (not sure if I will) and medium+ Hungarian oak beads to add. This will be slow, but worth it.
I generally build the deck of a rack here and then move it to the bike to tack the stays on. Finishing the joints happens back here, but just in a tube block in the vise.

I made this rack of lamb for mom. Rosemary and mint are from my own garden too. Did quite a good job, if I do say so myself ... :) Paired it with a longan puree demi glace. Very nice!
Updated custom front rack for the Gunnar. At the advice of those who know more, I may add an additional tombstone reinforcement.
I built this rack out of old CD cases and some bits of PVC pipe scavenged from Freecycle. I'm not sure if its robust enough to work in a shop though. Cards from www.rowlingson.com will be in the shops soon!
