La Vall de Núria
"The Valley of Núria"
is a south-opening valley coming down from the crest of the Pyrenees within the municipality of Queralbs, province of Girona, community of Catalonia, Spain.
The floor of the valley lies about 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) above sea level and is accessible from the south via a rack railway (the Vall de Núria Rack Railway) or by foot, and from France to the north by footpaths.
There are no roads to access the valley.
The place is historically notable for the 1931 drafting of the first Catalan Statute of Autonomy, in the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Núria.
I had lens in little pouches sitting all over my office and I decided that it was time to clean things up a bit.. So I ordered a Wine Rack and put it together and stored my lens this way.. At lest it gives me a lot more room for other things... Just for info in case you are interested, I ordered it from Amazon and the little squares are 3 1/2 inches and the lens on the very top is a Fisheye and it would only fit in that one space...
If you happened to be in Utah's Tooele Valley early in the evening back in the 1990s, chances were good you'd catch UP's hot LANPZ train rolling down the mountain at Lake Point. At 7:11 p.m. on July 23, 1992, the old reliable Z arrived on the scene with UP 6024, UP 9299, pulling 39 cars. No subdivisions stood along the track (yet) to disrupt the serenity and tranquility of the moment.
A new rack.
This young buck, with a new set of antlers, wandered through the dunes behind our cottage in the early morning 4 years ago.

Odocoileus virginianus
The white tailed deer is the most widely distributed and the most numerous of all North America’s large animals.
It leaves its fawn unattended for hours at a time.
It may have difficulty surviving the winter, particularly if there are too many deer competing for food or if snow is deep

Celebration Pumpkin Cake Recipe from The Cake Mix Bible
1 Pkg. Spice cake mix (or Carrot Cake mix)
1 can solid pack pumpkin (16 oz)
3 eggs
1/4 cup butter, softened
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Combine all ingredients in large bowl, beat 2 minutes with electric mixer.
Divide batter evenly in 2 9" round cake pans that have been sprayed with Pam with flour. (or greased and floured).
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
Cool on wire rack.
Frost with cream cheese frosting. Decorate as you wish.
The recipe book had caramel sauce drizzled down the sides and pecans on top.
I chose to do the sides in the cookies since it looked a bit fancier for Thanksgiving.
Cream Cheese frosting.
6 oz cream cheese, room temperature
3 tablespoons milk
1 tsp clear vanilla
5-7 cups powdered sugar
mix until smooth...if it's too thick add more milk a tsp. at a time
Enjoy!
By the way, this is the moistest cake I have ever made! (And I've baked a lot of cakes...I used to be a professional cake decorator)

Union Pacific's hotter than hot CHLAZ rounds a curve while climbing the foothills of the Oquirrh Mountains approaching Erda, Utah on June 13, 1992. Remember when auto racks were clean and free of tagging? It has been a while.
Had a drive up to the River Lyne to add this bridge to my set and also to test out my new lens. Not the most ideal of conditions but it seemed to perform ok.
Just a pity about that big fallen tree impacting on the shot, probably due to all the stormy weather of late.

With the turmoil within the auto industry over the last year or two (or maybe this happened for some other reason altogether), I've observed a few slightly unique moves. It's not unusual for 247 to have racks, but to be entirely racks and to then bypass Welland made me wonder if this was a bit of a weird one.
I like this as the long train highlights the transition from level track to the 1.75% grade down into the tunnel cut.
