what once was the door to nowhere, open door, see drywall, thanks to previous owner questionable remodeling skills, is now a magazine rack of sorts. I removed useless door, nailed up some pegboard, found metal baskets online, hung with pegboard hooks, filled with magazines and added hook to hang my purse.

Not OHSA approved, this rack was just the start of a traditional silletero's burden.

Imagine hiking up and down steep trails with this - and up to 75kg of cargo - on your back.

In earlier times, this is how most cargo, from banannas to porcelain, found its way into the Antioquia district.

Some silleteros even specialized in carrying people.

Here's the whole story:

Rack and bag . Long removed and replaced by a Tubus rack. Would have retained this rack , but the Topeak and clamp setup just kept coming off the bike.

An homage to transportation in Chicago.

I designed this in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire in 2009 on a whim.

This is a fairly busy design and not very practical for high-volume production. I imagine this being investment cast in steel using a lost wax process and then powder-coated in orange.

Another passion of mine is billiards! Eight Ball in the USA... I'm known to be a pretty good shot, (pun intended). And as seen this day, I had time to snap photos and then administer another ass whoopin! Rack em son!

The fish was hung up on these racks to dry in the sun and wind. After drying the fish would preserve well. Main export was to Italy and some areas of Africa.
