This old pump looks like a distant relative to R2D2. One of 3 in the pumping station.
I have visited the area around the abandoned pumping several times while attempting to get a pic of the train crossing the river. I will stay persistent to get it. In the mean time over labor Day I found out the area around it is the local swimming hole. A number of youngsters were cavorting in the water around it.

During the battle, baker spies managed to steal secret techniques that give them access to 3D cake sculptures and power to destroy the hold of Costco cakes forever. Pursued by production cake decorators armed with sprinkles and ‘whipped topping’, Sugar Alchemist Lorie races to deliver a very happy birthday treat for the young Jedi, Kevin, and to restore unique sugar creations to the galaxy….
I don't know, these always looked like R2D2 to me with all those chained ear rings and stuff.

I guess no one realized R2 had a hobby outside of being awesome and saving everyone's sorry butt in Star Wars!

I made this costume for my son... mostly out of duct tape... I used an Ikea hamper as the base and a Party Bowl and Bike Helmet for the head.
Last week I decided to teach myself how to build spheres and contoured shapes (the football, Mork, and plenty of unphotographed tablescrap). Around 6:30 last night, I thought it would be cool to apply my new knowledge and build R2-D2. I thought it would be even cooler if I could take the model to my LUG meeting today. So, using a voice command R2-D2 as a reference, I sat down around just before 7PM and started building and didn’t stop until just after midnight when I had a 12.5” astro-mech droid sitting on my desk.
It’s not movie accurate, but its close enough for me this time around. Bear in mind that this is my VERY FIRST attempt at building anything like this. Given my self-imposed time constraints, available brick and lack of experience, I think it turned out pretty good. I may certainly revisit this project later on and take my time to get a much cooler little droid.
This is my second R2D2 cake. It's not the easiest cake to create, very time consuming. This time everything is edible (my first, the legs were styro). I could have kept going with the detail, but I was running out of time and had another cake to work on. I personally think this one looks nicer than the first- hopefully the client thinks so as well....
