R2D2 & bb8

I've thought for sometime now that it would be cool to make an alternate R2 unit. Then monsterbrick started posting his Pi series and I had to give it a go. Took 2 days to complete, was a blast to build and now that I've done it, I'm all the more impressed with each one Matt pumps out.

This will be on display at Rebel Bricks , a new, local store.

it's true, R2D2 is a total pimp.

I don't know why my brain did this, okay? it just did.

stitched almost entirely one really boring thursday at work.

and this sexy beast was taken home by Ellen. I hope she can handle him.

Somehow based on originals but I wanted build R2D2 in sort that he could turn head and keep the size of a cubedude.

For C3PO I wanted make the head more round so I had to use a changement of direction of studs.

The idea behind this diorama is to re-create the infamous scene of Princess Leia passing Death Star plan to R2-D2.

The diorama was created so that different angle of this scene can be viewed to relive that moment of awesome-ness.
