Quirky or unusual is the theme for number 77 of 116, and the bottlebrush tree is unusual in Scotland although not in other parts of the world. This one was spotted in the greenhouse at Dundee Botanic Gardens.

I originally had this very elaborate set up, but then the light was weird, and the wind knocked down everything. So I was highly frustrated and never wanted to take pictures again, so I taped sheet music to my bathtub and just sat in there.... It worked much better.
Can't remember where I got this picture from but that paving slab deal going on is all done with paint!
WH: British Eccentricity
Clarification for the Brits: Trader Joe's (TJ's) is a quirky grocery chain here in the States. The adopt different characters and today they seem to have some quirky Brits on hand.
This is for Andrew's younger sister. She's all religious and stuff.
So I thought "Okay she likes jesus....jesus-fish....FISH THAT LOOKS LIKE JESUS! HAHAHA"
I hope she doesn't get offended, because this is just too witty to not like. Shoot, I'd keep it.
Driving past San Diego Airport I was surprised to see a large Navy ship to my right where there was no apparent water.
I turned off the road towards it and discovered it was a ship on land.
It's the USS Recruit, a 2/3 scale model, commissioned in 1949 as a training vessel. It's the Navy's only commissioned ship never to reach water.
AKA the Neversail.
Jess suggested a "Quirky Turkey Tuesday" idea today, and I jumped right on that bandwagon! (Yes, I know it's Wednesday, and I promise I'll play on the right day next week.)
So here's my Quirky Turkey for the week:
When I am packing for a trip I always MUST make the bed and fold all the laundry before I begin packing. Unmade beds and unfolded laundry don't normally bother me, obvs, but they drive me bonkers when I'm packing. So, it always takes me a crazy long time to pack because I end up doing a bunch of chores first.
After planning the template I then gave it a trial run - not doing anything much today so it was fun to make it look like an adventure! The map is an abstraction of my house and garden!
