This is a time lapse video of a short stint of Mumbai monsoon rains, as seen from my living room window. I shot 200 pictures, one every 15 seconds and processed them as a video using Quick Time.
Trying out more interesting 5D things. Alex got my watch repaired for Christmas. Yay!

This is my first time lapse video attempt.
I shot around 200 photos with 3 second intervals and 1 second aperture on my Nikon D80 and using a Phottix Intervalometer (search on ebay) around 6:30 PM. It was extremely windy, which is why there is a bit of shakiness. I used a gorillapod wrapped around a tree.
The video was assembled in Quicktime Pro at 15 fps.
When I saw Steve Jobs demoing the iPad at the ominous Apple Keynote I asked myself: Isn't it just a big iPod touch? That time my answer to the question was "yes, it is, nothing more". Now, that I have seen the device, touched it, and used it, I can state that software-wise it might be "just a fat iPod touch", but when you start using it, it is certainly much more.
I don't know how it could fit into my life, and I surely don't need one… but I want one. :)

This is a quicktime movie of this crazy balloon popping dog (Anistasia) that I took pictures of in my back yard for a National Geographic for Kids shoot a few years ago. I had only intended to have my assistant capture the moment (b/c it was so nutty!) but then NGS ended up licensing use of the video for their web site... I definitley would have dressed nicer if I knew I where this video was going....
I Am Legend (2008)

This video is my first attempt at a High Definition, High Dynamic Range Time Lapse Video. This was done using a Nikon D300 and the interval timing function. I set the camera to auto bracket 5 shots at 1ev steps, then told the camera to take 850 intervals each consisting of 5 shots, with 4 seconds in between each interval. So basically every 4 seconds the camera took a 5 shot HDR for me. Then I downloaded all the images (almost 4500!) and batch processed the HDRs in Photomatix Pro 3 which took about 6 hours or more. Then I imported all the final HDR frames into Quicktime Pro and set them to play at 24 frames per second. This is the end result! I think it turned out decent. You will see flickering which was a result of using aperture mode instead of manual. I thought it would be better to use A mode given the changing light but when the camera is auto metering it results in darker and lighter shots depending on the overall light in the scene. So next time I do this it's manual all the way! This was done with a Sigma 10-20mm at F8 and F5.6 as it got darker.
