Raleigh bikes print and multimedia creative from the late 1990s. raleighbikes.com was one of my earliest websites. I was involved in its development for over 4 years, seeing the site progress from simple html and inline images, through to a database-driven website with QuickTime Movies and other dynamic features.
The audio and the video recorded here are output straight from Second Life. I haven't overdubbed the audio.
I'm giving a presentation to NZ academic librarians next week. I have set up the Murdoch University Island auditorium so that I stream live from my webcam.
This uses a site called veodia.com, which creates streams that Quicktime can play, necessary for Second Life.
I cut off the end and start of the video, as I did a couple of dumb things with my camera controls.
In the last bit, I was going to explain that it is rather disconcerting to watch in Second Life as it is delayed by a couple of seconds and I have to wait until I finish speaking there before I can begin my next sentence - otherwise I get very confused.

The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

Three hour timelapse, facing North. Shot in Southern Indiana. Each "frame" of the Quicktime movie is a 20sec exposure, shot every 30 seconds. It was a three hour total shoot, so that's 360 exposures. At 60 frames per second on play back, it makes a 6 second short movie.
Two planes passed over, and the North Star (Polaris) is in the upper left middle of the screen.

These particles illustrate the process of how white light leaks into black shapes. Diffraction isn't a local phenomenon to black and white edges: the process takes place everywhere, the edge makes it visible by removing the opposing direction.

Taken during the EM 2008 Fire Training. The Casino was filled up with actors, the fire department lite some smoke candles and first for a long time, I had no problems taken photos inside :)

My very first time lapse! Taken with Nikon D300s with Nikon 28-70mm f/2.8 lens (at 40mm) Manual Exposure - f/10 @ 1 sec. ("dragging the shutter" effect) Manual WB (Cloudy) Manual Focus 2 second intervals, 480 intervals (480 photos). Total elapsed time: 13 minutes Taken from Claridge Plaza Condo Bldg on 27 September 2009
Streaming KCRW. Much to my dismay the three-hour buffer is trashed by a malformed link toward the end. Regarding the lady, I think she's supposed to be Debra LeFave.
Don't you just love it when you get a new computer, load all your stuff on, do all the MBs of Systems updates to then find an issue with it. After all the effort you think... is it really worth sending it back?

Just wading through the sea of old photos taken with the Epson PhotoPC, fixed focal length digital camera (which was just slightly better than the first generation iPhone camera, but did have a flash). It's hard to beleive this is what Internet video evolved from... Good times with the Blueberry iMac DV and streaming over 56k though : )

For the past 3 years, I’ve had the wonderful experience to see a particular couple dance the tango at the plaza by the Cathedral. So, this past summer I made several visits to the plaça especially to see them, take videos and pictures.

This is a time lapse video of a short stint of Mumbai monsoon rains, as seen from my living room window. I shot 200 pictures, one every 15 seconds and processed them as a video using Quick Time.
Trying out more interesting 5D things. Alex got my watch repaired for Christmas. Yay!

This is my first time lapse video attempt.
I shot around 200 photos with 3 second intervals and 1 second aperture on my Nikon D80 and using a Phottix Intervalometer (search on ebay) around 6:30 PM. It was extremely windy, which is why there is a bit of shakiness. I used a gorillapod wrapped around a tree.
The video was assembled in Quicktime Pro at 15 fps.
