A quick stop for air and a photo while headed uphill at 5:30 a.m. in the John Muir Wilderness on Saturday, July 20, 2013.

Quick split. Go opposite ways and we'll confuse the geese :)

A derelict Convenience Store on Harry Hines

when first I moved to Dallas I worked just down the street. I used to drop in here and get Gasoline and a Coke on the way in.

The much bigger and fancier place across the street basically buried them.

I like the clerk who alway waited on me, he was sweet, liked blondes, and alway warned me if things were going sideways in the area (it was a VERY rough area back then).

Hope he is ok and doing well...

I made a simple jig to be sure the tops of the crank posts line up evenly when I cut and grind them.

A quick trip to Pender Island for the New Year, taking in the magic lantern festival

Checking Google Maps now and then to see where I was and seeing the dot gradually move is satisfying.

Leaving Prague.

I was on a dark beach and those were the lights shining off in the distance, I got the effect by moving the camera.

The tilt/shift lens can be tricky to use. I found myself moving the opposite way of what I needed to. It was also difficult to know what would work really good for this lens. I chose this limb because it was at an angle so I could practice getting it all in focus even though it was all at a different distance. There are spots on it that are not focused but overall I am happy with it. I took this photo into lightroom to add some vibrance to it because it was really dull.

Slick move, quickly snaffling the cupcake.

I was walking around the Galle fort, Sri Lanka and was lucky to meet a quick model, who posed for my camera without any hesitation.

This shot was hard to get with auto focus. I realized how hard it would be to use auto focus, especially with moving things.

The kids were out front skating, so we made a quick launch to the sidewalk cut out.

it was cute though. he was sleeping with his head like that. these two are the kitty couple :3

no worries...he recovered quickly - you can see my sister yelling something to him and noah and ben are grinning still.
