Some quick pictures of Yuri, just because she's so pretty and never fails to brighten up my mind. I did not have such a good day today >.<

I went to the custom office by train because I am sure that they have my Deconstruction view Eugenia... but, they were unfriendly and send me away because I did not have their official "we have mail for you" postcard. This is entirely ridiculous. I know that they have it, and I paid for Express shipping from the US just so that waiting for their silly post card takes as long as the entire shipment from the US to Germany!

Quick picture of my new table and chairs. Due to lack of space, I couldn't put up a proper backdrop or anything.

A quick walk along Conession Street in Hamilton because the day was beautiful and I had a roll of Ortho+ hanging around!

So quick was the Bitterns appearance that I nearly missed him!!

Iris at Ravenstor before the gentle roll down the 1 in 27. A quick burst in first gear is all that's needed to get going then it is straight on the brake. Must have been interesting with naughty trucks full of rock in The Past that THEY wouldn't let you get away with these days etc ... political correctness ... nanny state ... Ok, it's ok. I nearly came over all Littlejohn then. And he'd hate that.

Iris was delivered in 1954 and became M79900 on conversion to a single car unit in 1956. When the boffins at Derby got hold of her she became a radio test car, acquiring the name Iris in the RTC fashion of naming their vehicles after mythological characters that reflect the thing they test.

Some info from the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway, some from the fascinating Train Testing website. That train testing site is excellent, if you're like me you'll get lost in it for hours. But the chances are you're not, and so you wont. Probably for the best.

Making a quick trip up towards the Garden State Secondary before leaving for vacation early the next morning, was able to help the future girlfriend get pictures of her 3rd Norfolk Southern heritage unit. Here was the "Central of Georgia" ES44AC #8101 sitting quietly along the spur track as it was in town being used for the Philips 66 drill. Parked behind the AT&T in Linden, I was able to even grab a shot of Sam taking her own shot of what would be her favorite heritage unit.

THE RANDOM FACT INGREDIENT

when i take photos, i shoot with my left eye, which i think is unusual since i write right-handed. however this could be completely normal, i'd be interested to know if i'm the odd one out here?

note: this photo is from ireland. i set my camera down on a ledge near the sea and made evin pose with me. while i'm trying my best to ward off the cold weather, and i really would have rather not posted a winter shot, i'm lazy and i still think it's cute :)

..... maybe a little piece of fudge!! We have the family and all the grand-kids visiting for dinner this evening so I need to grab an hour of pure relaxation before the onslaught!

I made another skirt last week, that I took days and days to finish and I didn't like at all, so I then threw this skirt together in a few hours and it made me smile, so, yay. The fabrics and the lace were all bought as uncut yardgoods from Goodwill, too.
