I attended the Virgin Money Fireworks Concert as a press photographer yesterday, for Hotique, in the centre of Edinburgh's Princes Street Gardens. The Edinburgh International Festival and Edinburgh's summer festival season comes to a conclusion at this event. Set against the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh’s historic Castle, this event brings together stirring orchestral music from the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and magnificent pyrotechnics, specially choreographed by international fireworks artists, Pyrovision.
I caught James Hetfield almost in front of these pyrotechnics. I was so close to the flames that I felt the heat it was giving off. It felt like I was near a gas grill. So I know that James felt that heat too! American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas, September 29, 2009
It's never too late for fireworks. The Town of Huntington, MA gave everyone a fantastic display last night from Gateway Regional High School.

Clifton Suspension Bridge 150th anniversary fireworks 2014.
On 8 December 1864, the bridge was lit by magnesium flares for its ceremonial opening parade, but they were blown out by the wind. The custom of lighting the bridge has continued with more recent events, although later thousands of electric light bulbs were attached to the bridge instead of flares
Open House Festival (24-28 september) is a musical event that is celebrated every year in Belfast (capital of Northern Ireland). In one week, tens of Irish and North American folk bands met in the city to vindicate this musical style. Pubs and music halls got thousands of fans from all Europe. In the festival (this year it celebrated its tenth edition) there were several workshops, musical strolls across the streets of Belfast, acrobatics and pyrotechnics shows and, even, contests to eat “chillie”, famous Mexican pepper. The Black Cat stand across the street has a bounce castle, slide, and Noah's Ark bouncy.
They charge extra to ride on those. Maybe I'll loan them my dog so they can open a petting zoo.
