Here's my work in progress gourd art. I've cut the top to make a lid, wood burned a design into the top and bottom and with mussel shells from a local chinese buffet, I've made mosaic insets around the outside just under the lid line.

Handmade leather Christmas Stocking by Moxie & Oliver. Full grain vegetable tanned tooling leather, hand cut, branded, painted and dyed by hand in our Seattle, WA studio.
Right side of three-dimensional pyrography piece. Inspired by the curved shape of the maple block, which reminded me of an eagle's beak. The designs wrap around the block; for example, the flag continues from behind the eagle's head to over the block. The mountains begin at the lower right corner and wrap around the front where an eagle soars in flight, to the other side where the nest is. Wall Lenk 30W woodburner with temperature regulator.
On the other side of this is a small clock face. This design led the woodwork guy to suggest I take up tattoo-ing. The bird is from the Book of Kells, the vines I just drew.
