Mission Statement

Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.

he likes the stuff and was hunting some after most had melted.

He was too young to walk outside, so we carried him in a purse. And he wore a sock as a sweater! But in this pic I think he's wrapped in a washcloth. Poor guy.

Each year during the months of November and December grey seals come to the beach of Donna Nook (Lincolnshire - UK) to give birth to their pups. After a week or three, when the pups are weaned, the females are ready to mate, causing bloody fights among the competing bulls.

The area is near an RAF bombing range, but the seals don’t seem to be disturbed by the noise of the planes. They are even doing better than elsewhere in the UK. Donna Nook turns out to be a safe place, and has the best statistics for pup survivals. But Unfortunately there is also a downside: some of the visitors and photographers get too close to the seals, so that the mothers panic and abandon their pups. For that reason we decided to stay in the fenced area and not to go out on the beach. In fact, later we heard from other people that they found quite a few dead pups near the shoreline …

Counseling and Psychological Services and Student DisAbility Resources welcome back our favorite four-legged friends from KPETS!

The look so tiny and innocent just after they have been weaned. Like there is so much to learn, such a huge ocean. My heart goes out to these little guys and my admiration. Often the pups will gather in clusters and attach themselves to a big male or a juvenile from last year.

Something is up with the reflection of the flash but.....

This is my "Devil with the White Dress"

Denali. This sweet little beauty almost went to the emergency vet Friday night; luckily, we decided to have her take some peroxide because she ate some beads.... she also had eaten entire ziplock bags!
