I think the capes were a new style this year from Kaleidoscope Wear. I got one for the msds and one for the Pukifee/Lati size kids to share.
The buildings in the background are mobile rental cabins. During the lake floods, they were moved from the campgrounds to this area until the water receded.

haha, playing in puddles reminds me of being a little kid, i love it so muchh. my besty sam likes kicking them as you can tell

I went through a period of being very artistically interested in (read 'obsessed with') taking shots like this -- down in the shadowed reaches of the urban canyons, looking into puddles up at brightly-lit tall objects. I thought it made it look like I was peering through a rip in reality. Another instance of the same series is here.
The building reflected here is Randolph Tower, built in 1929 by Vitzhum and Burns (who are also the firm who did St. Peter's, aka the squashed . Christ . building.

Anise swallowltails are taking in salts & other chemicals found in this damp soil.
According to Kaufman field guide this is called a "Puddle Party" when several male butterflies gather around muddy areas. Found these butterflies partying in Glacier National Park.

It's Wednesday, the week is almost over and I am busy preparing for the wicked cool art exhibition at the 'ABC Treehouse', more details below :)
