“If someone truly loves you, they will walk in the rain with you. Maybe even play in the puddles” – Tammy Ames.
Suede – Puddle of love (When the rain falls) ♫ youtu.be/0dM1FbFWI5k
Come out tonight in the puddles
Splash some love across the sky
Just you and I bursting bubbles
As the sky is about to cry
When the rain falls
There's magic in our lives
When the rain falls
We're happy deep inside
When the rain falls
It cleans away the corners of our minds

The Charco de san Ginés in Lanzarote. Charco translates as 'puddle' in English! There are lots of restaurants, bars and icecream shops and it's a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun, or cool off in the evening breeze.

Another puddle sunset image, this time with the 8mm fisheye lens that came at Christmas. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this. :) It gives a 180 degree field of view and although it's manual focus only, setting it at f/8 or f/11 should get everything in focus, regardless.
Please take a moment and click on the image to see it large on a black background. It really looks nicer that way and thank you in advance for looking at my work and for any comments, critiques and favorites. :)

I've been very busy with getting everything ready for this weekend! Almost finished! I will see you there!
Puddling is when a butterfly is drinking from a muddy area. They are taking in both water and minerals. Males do it more than females because the intake of salts and other minerals helps with production of pheromones & sperm. The males pass along the sodium & nutrients to the females as a nuptial gift when mating. And it increases the survival rate of the eggs.

The only remotely original shot I've taken of the London Eye. It was just a dirty brown puddle. A bit of contrast adjustment made for one of my favourite shots. 1.3 sec exposure.
Whichever way you look at it, the stripped down QJ without it's smoke deflectors was quite a mean looking machine. This one was whiling away the afternoon looking at it's reflection in a murky puddle on the northern reaches of the Pingdingshan system in Henan Province, central China. January 2006. © David Hill.
My table setup this past weekend for Puddle, the annual Pullip convention in Chicago! I didn't get a chance to take very many photos at all, I was lucky to snap this quick (and blurry) photo before it started. It was definitely a whirlwind of a weekend, it was the biggest and busiest Puddle yet! It was so much fun this year and thank you so much to everyone who stopped to chat! It was lovely to meet both old and new friends and that is the best part of the whole convention!
A little something interesting, I brought my Kikipops to display the skirts, and the #1 question people asked me this weekend was "What are those dolls and where can I buy one?!?!" I was surprised at the extremely positive response the Kikipops received! I guess no one can resist their cuteness! 😆 My Smart Doll was also surprisingly popular, a few people told me that a Smart Doll was next on their wishlist.
It was a fun and exhausting convention and I can't wait until next year! The theme for next year is Spells of the Sea and I can't stop thinking about making narwhal mermaids, haha. 😄 If any of you are in the Midwest I highly recommend this convention!
After a short sharp arctic freeze, I stumbled on the remains of a plastic alien queen, lying in a thawing water tomb. Her eyes were hollow, but she grinned at me in a knowing sort of way :-)
Next round of #StillFlickring! Actually I didn't take this image this week as it was simply no time for side-projects but i remembered this image from some months ago that just fits so perfect.
This is the image I meant to recreate.

Please follow #StillFlickring to what the others created 😊
