Dopo aver registrato il soldout al Forum di Assago con la prima data del “Piccoli energumeni tour” lo scorso 29 aprile (tour che li vede tutto’ora impegnati nei palasport da dove mancavano da vent’anni), ecco un nuovo appuntamento dal vivo degli Elio e le Storie Tese che li vedrà sul palco del Carroponte di Sesto San Giovanni, sabato 3 Settembre.
Un 2016 davvero coi fiocchi quello del gruppo che dopo aver partecipato a Sanremo con la pirotecnica “Vincere l’odio”, supercanzone con ben sette ritornelli, ha pubblicato “Figgatta de blanc”, titolo estroso per un album eclettico e geniale, dove i nostri eroi raccontano a più voci il mondo contemporaneo fra umorismo e lucida follia.
Obbiettivo del Piccoli Energumeni Tour (PET) è dare spettacolo in grandi spazi
come palasport, arene e festival all’aperto, per raggiungere più spettatori in un colpo solo.

Today I was published for the first time. The Seven Days section of the Phnom Penh Post. Not only did I get featured in a standalone on the back page, but my photos were used in an spread featuring the jewelers of Russian Market. The Photograph I took, which ended up being in a book (The Climate Crisis: An Introductory Guide to Climate Change). They contacted me through Flickr.
This photograph was published in the Illustrated Chronicle 18 Aug 1916 p12.
During the Great War the Illustrated Chronicle published photographs of soldiers and sailors from Newcastle and the North East of England, which had been in the news. The photographs were sent in by relatives and give us a glimpse into the past.
The physical collection held by Newcastle Libraries comprises bound volumes of the newspaper from 1910 to 1925. We are keen to find out more about the people in the photographs. If you recognise anyone in the images and have any stories and information to add please comment below.

Hans Florian Zimmer è un compositore, produttore discografico e tastierista tedesco, autore di colonne sonore cinematografiche e a capo del dipartimento musicale dello studio cinematografico DreamWorks.
Il compositore ha appena vinto il suo secondo Premio Oscar come miglior colonna sonora per il film Dune: inizia nel 1995 con il primo Premio Oscar per la colonna sonora per Il Re Leone, 4 Golden Globe, 4 Grammy Awards, 3 Brit Awards, un BAFTA Award e il Critic’s Choice Movie Award.

Although the card was not posted, the right-hand side of the divided back features a recipient's name and address:

There was also a message:

Évian-les-Bains
In 1789, during a walk in Évian ("les-Bains" came later), the Marquis de Lessert drank the water from the Sainte Catherine spring on the land of a Monsieur Cachat.
The marquis, who was allegedly suffering from kidney and liver problems, continued to drink the water regularly, and claimed that his health improved as a result.
The word spread, and in response to the water's growing popularity, Monsieur Cachet fenced off his spring and began charging for the water. The first baths appeared in 1824. In 1908, Évian Water began to be sold in glass bottles; the first PVC bottle was launched in 1969.
Évian Water is today owned by the Danone Group, a French multinational company.

Cast: Jinsop Ho, Jinsop Rodriguez, Irlene Castro, Victor Lema
In the 1970's, in Quito, Ecuador, Branko met a Korean-American school friend, Jinsop Ho Odirling.
Jinsop became an overnight teenage sensation when he published in 1973, an LP Record, Mi Oracion.
Jinsop Ho, also recorded a second LP Record.
Jinsop's music, became the anthem of a young generation.
Soon after, Jinsop travelled to the US and disappeared into thin air.
There are no other albums recorded by Jinsop, after 1980.
Some years later, Branko tracked Jinsop to a small Restaurant in Queens, NY and to another Restaurant in Newark NJ.
Branko was able to record Jinsop, interpreting the songs that had stunned a whole generation.
These recordings, are the only complete music videos of Jinsop, now available on the net.
Recently on July 2014, in Ecuador, the second place participant, of a TV Reality Music Program, "Yo me llamo - Ecuador", (My name is - Ecuador), was Alejandro Rodriguez, who has adopted the professional name of Jinsop Rodriguez. He sings and imitates Jinsop Ho.
Branko met Jinsop Rodriguez, on August 2015, at a recent event, in Queens NY, and invited Jinsop Rodriguez to record at the same Restaurant, where two decades ago, he had recorded Jinsop Ho.
Jiinsop Ho, passed away, at a seaside village, in Ayangue, Ecuador, on June 24, 2012
The original trumpet player, from Jinsop Ho's album, Dr. Victor Lema, also appears in this movie.
Special appearance by the actress, Irlene Castro.

En Quito Norte, Ecuador; en los 1970's, Jinsop Ho, fué estudiante del Colegio Anderson y Branko del Tecnico Don Bosco.
Branko: - Nos conocíamos de eventos que hacían los dos colegios.
Después no lo vi por más de veinte años, pero siempre traté de encontrarlo en New York. En una oportunidad vi un anuncio en un bar Ecuatoriano de Bushwick, Brooklyn; pero no pude encontrarlo.
Años después lo encontré en Bares Ecuatorianos de Queens NY y Newark NJ.
Yo hago películas documentario y esta película, es un homenaje a uno de nuestros Grandes, mi amigo, Jinsop Ho.

Vincitore di 5 Grammy Awards e di 3 Latin Grammy, ritorna al Blue Note uno dei più grandi pianisti del jazz cubano: il bandleader, compositore e arrangiatore Chucho Valdés (all'anagrafe Dionisio Jesús “Chucho” Valdés Rodriguez).
La storia di “Chucho” è intrisa di musica fin dalla nascita, nasce nella provincia di Quivicàn a L’Avana nel 1941, figlio di Bebo Valdés, famoso pianista e compositore cubano. A 15 anni Chucho aveva già fondato il suo primo trio jazz e nel frattempo si esibiva con L'Orchestra sabor de Cuba, diretta dal padre. Poco dopo, era il 1963, arriva il suo primo album, Chucho Valdés y su Combo, un nuovo impulso alla musica popolare cubana. Il resto è storia. Esibizioni in più di cinquanta Paesi, in sale importanti come la Carnegie Hall, il Blue Note di New York e il Teatre Colon di Buenos Aires, da solo o con gli Ikarere, sua band vincitrice di Grammy Awards. Gli Irakere comprendevano star come il trombettista Arturo Sandoval e il sassofonista Paquito D’Rivera.
Con il suo mix unico di jazz, rock, funk, classica e ritmi tradizionali cubani, Valdés ha formato gruppi, inciso dischi in modo costante e collaborato con alcuni dei più importanti musicisti portoricani, statunitensi e cubani, ottenendo premi e risocnoscimenti.
Border-Free, è il titolo del suo nuovo album con gli Afro-Cuban Messengers, ma potrebbe essere anche la giusta descrizione del suo modo di fare musica, o una sua dichiarazione di principi.
Esplosivo come una raffica di fuochi d’artificio, è un concerto da non perdere!
