SUMMARY - Excavations in the south-east area of the Forum of Caesar have identified significant remains of building phases predating the construction of the Forum. Below the Forum square excavations uncovered sections of earlier buildings and structures dating to the archaic and late republican periods. This article describes some of the most ancient structures, specifically two rectangular buildings dating from the late archaic period. These buildings were destroyed by a violent fire around 390 b.C. At least one of the buildings was subsequently reconstructed, possibly together with the entire surrounding neighbourhood.

(Fig. 1)2.

SUMMARY - The 2005-2008 excavations in the Forum of Caesar have identified an earlier building phase of the complex. Forthcoming publication of these excavations will explain in detail how this earlier phase can be identified with the original Forum of Caesar, begun in 54 b.C. and inaugurated in 46 b.C. The first Forum featured a shorter (20 metres) groundplan, later expanded to its present configuration by Octavian’s completion of the Forum between 42 and 29 b.C.

"The Live Billboard Project" introduces site specific dance into the commercial theater that large-scale billboard advertising has become. "Live" means four dancers will be suspended within billboard designs.. We created the project to examine the effect of women's images in public space. We also want to encourage conversation about loss of public space to corporate messaging.

Featuring Damara Ganley, Jo Kreiter, Aimee Lam and Jessica Swanson. "The Live Billboard Project" is funded by the Creative Work Fund, the San Francisco Foundation, SF Arts Commission, S.F. Grants for the Arts, the Zellerbach Foundation, the Dance Creation to Performance Fund (funded by the James Irvine Foundation and administered by Dance USA), and Meet the Composer's Commissioning Music/USA Program (funded by the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Brother Fund, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Francis Goelet Trust, the Helen Whitaker Fund, Target, and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation).

Eden Project

‘Seed’

Peter Randall-Page’s latest work is a huge seed-like granite sculpture carved with a complex, pattern based upon the geometric and mathematical principles which underlie plant growth.

The Chamber

In the manner of Rothko, who stipulated the dimensions and light conditions of the rooms in which his work should be seen, the chamber and art work were conceived as one.

Note: Hubby had a list of OLD pubs he wanted to stand at the bar and drink a Guinness in. That...is pretty much what we did in Dublin.

Here I'm working on the new face-up.

After sanding and carving a bit, she got new colors. I used soft pastells and a bit acrylic paint.

We went camping at Turkey Run State Park here in Indiana. It rained both days and we hiked between the rains. This cavern had a nice stream but also the air was filled with moisture from the evaporating rain. It was very cool down there. I actually had to combine 2 images to get this one as my husband was in an unflattering position in the shot I liked. He likes this much better. Taken with my Nikon P7700...a great little point and shoot camera.

I visited a friend this afternoon who likes to play with trains...

ANTHONY LISTER, MEGGS, EARS AND WEBUYYOURKIDS, LIVE AT PROJECT 5

aMBUSH Gallery and Cockle Bay Wharf are bringing four of Australia’s most defining and individual artists together at Cockle Bay Wharf, for the much anticipated second instalment of Project 5 – a live art and music event for charity.

The four dynamic works (2.4m x 1m) were produced during the three day Project 5 Live Art and Music Event at Cockle Bay in August. Anthony Lister, Meggs, Ears and Webuyyourkids unleashed their creative juices in front of thousands of people, using spray paints, stencils and brushes to create the one-off urban masterpieces.

The Eden Project is a visitor attraction in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Inside the artificial biodomes are plants that are collected from all around the world.

The project is located in a reclaimed Kaolinite pit, the complex is dominated by two huge enclosures consisting of adjoining domes that house thousands of plant species. The domes consist of hundreds of hexagonal and pentagonal, inflated, plastic cells supported by steel frames. The first dome simulates a tropical environment, and the second a Mediterranean environment.

This is my Eagle project. I put in for raised-bed gardens, painted the swingset frame, and put in a out door classroom under the swingset (the stump). There is a checker board on the stump.

The paperwork is in the works. I hope to get Eagle Scout by the end of June; all of my merit badges are finished.

In July, I will be going down to West Virginia for the 2013 National Boy Scout Jamboree. I am on staff, and the area i am working in needs me to wear a kilt. So if you are going to Jambo, please let me know.
