365/2017 A starter for ten: theme 24 - daisies.
Explored! 196 on 22nd January 2017.
The world we live in is truly a special and unique place. Although we may not know it, everything we see around us, whether it being people, the little flowers growing out of the cracks in the sidewalks, or the sunsets that take our breath away, every moment is something worth looking out for, and living for.
In this project, my goal is for people to submit an image of the world around them. It can be your little baby sister, or the bird sitting in the orange tree out in the backyard. It can be you, smiling with your friends, or the stranger sitting at the bus stop, lost in the music coming from his I-pod. It can be anything that defines the way that you see all of the little wonders around you.
Any type of art for this project is welcome. There is no deadline, but when the submissions stop coming in, or never come, the ones that I do have will be featured on a blog on tumblr. You can submit up to 3 photos for the project, but if you don't want to, one or two is also fine Old photos are allowed
Please help spread the word about this, I want as many artists as possible to contribute! I by no means am very famous, so most likely with only me participating and putting out this journal, we won't go very far. Any sort of help is welcome, and very much appreciated.
I really hope that this works out, and that a lot of people participate.
Submissions can be taken by a link in a comment, by flickr mail, or if you don't like to make your photos downloadable I am also accepting my email, just message me if you want it
much love,
Julia

We all know that 2018 will be the year of the Roller Coaster. So the question becomes "how do you make yours unique?" Well, this is my spin on it - Classic Space.
The base frame is mostly the same as the released model, however I color swapped as much as I could in the frame to white to give it a cleaner look. And then I went to town modifying the base with a classic Space theme, along with a few extra touches.
Oh, and the Food stands on the end? Well, people kept telling me they'd look great in a RollerCoaster display, so, here they are, filling out the park. (And if you haven't checked them out on LEGO Ideas, follow this link and hit support. they could become an official set)
Project Thunderbird (2071 – 2085)
Developed by Ætheon (a high profile "private military company/"PMC"), Project Thunderbird was the first successful of instance of “jet trooper” (colloquially known as “jetters”) being deployed into combat. Using cybernetically enhanced pilots (most of which were former US Air Force and Marines), the company was able to find work in conflict zones all over the world.
All jet suits contained an exoskeleton, joy stick controls, and numerous intakes and jets that could be adjusted in real-time for maximum maneuverability. Jet suits varied wildly according the pilot’s rank and personal preferences. Though the suit’s weaponry varied between pilots, the most popular weapons were twin rapid-fire plasma cannons and two pairs of missile launchers.
The most famous Jetter was Ariel Vazquez. Joining the program in 2072 at the age of 25, she displayed immense prowess with the suit and made headlines for her heroics in the Long Beach Excursion (2073), in which [REDACTED] surfaced off the coast of Long Beach, California and attacked the water front. Were it not for the timely intervention of the “Jetters”, the [REDACTED] would’ve wreaked untold destruction on the city proper. Vazquez would also participate in the Battle of Bend (2079), in which the nation states of Cascadia and Greater Idaho fought for control of a newly-discovered (and incredibly valuable) lithium deposit on the outskirts of Bend, Oregon. Being a PMC, Ætheon sided with the highest bidder (in this case, Greater Idaho) and wreaked massive casualties on the Cascadian military with their superior airpower.
Though effective, Project Thunderbird’s heavy and unwieldly jet suits would ultimately be phased out as the technology improved became more compact. However, it would leave a lasting impact on military combat (even going into the intergalactic age centuries later), with similar technology being deployed by the Royal Cobalt Space Navy (RCSN) via their “Gunzerker” program.
an illustration for “elmonstruodecoloresnotieneboca”, Roger Omar's dream project. This project has been running since 2002, getting children from around the world to write down their dreams and then have illustrators draw them. I picked out this dream from a list of dreams, i really love it:
"I dreamed that we were playing football and we hit a boy´s head and made a hole in it.
He was taken to the hospital and the next day he was in class, but we were already grandparents."
(Lumpi/ Spain/ boy)

(Working on projects. I like to keep about a thousand active projects going at once. Have to be careful to start a bunch more right when I’m about to finish one.)
That embroidered felt cloche I’m copying for Navia made me realize I needed to practice embroidery more. So how about some little headbands to match another project, and of course some matching embroidered boot spats??
It snowed, so that means I really want to get out the doll horses. The weather has been just too cold to do it, but that’s given me time to put together some country riding outfits?
The first unit of the Optara project is moved out of the ABES terminal where it was discharged towards the Total refinery. The move was delayed by one day because of stormy weather on 21 October.
The 140 ton unit was manufactured in Spain by Tecnicas Reunidas and loaded on board of the heavy lift vessel Anne-Sofie at the port of Taragonna.
It is part of a 1 billion investment by Total in the Antwerp refinery which is the second largest refinery in Europe. The “Optara” project, as it has been named by Total, will involve 5 ship loads that will be brought in over the ABES Terminal at the 5th Haven dock.
The unit is loaded on a Goldhofer 4 file unit self propelled modular Transporter (SPT) for the transport from the terminal to the Total plant.
Details Goldhofer SPT :
Length : loading deck 16,50m (+4,00m for the engine)
Width : 6,29m
Height : 1,175m(+/- 0,3m)
Carrying capacity : 61,4 ton per axle (x 8 axles)
Each axle had 55° steering
That's the last of my 365 project, it was a challenge to remember every day for a year. Some days it was more than hard to come up with an idea, but I'm happy i did it. Think it helped my photography quite a bit, there were some rubbish photos and some that pleased me.

This month is "Dedications Month".....Put simply it is just an excuse to post some more damn pics. So everyday (if I can) I will dedicate the "pic of the day" to people I either know on Flickr or out there in the big wide wonderful world.
If I do not dedicate something to you, please do not take offense......it is just that I forgot you existed, or couldn't be bothered about you or that your stuff is crap!!!!!!!!!........so it is nothing personal.
Hope you like the stuff............especially those people who I have ignored, owe money to or don't have large breasts.......that would be extremely gratifying...........
Dedicated to Dan Arsenault........
I liked the lines and color combination in this shot.

The fantastic project of a UK based team: to build a replica of the Porsche 917, homologated for road use!

Inspiration comes from all over. I have always loved the looks of buildings at night, lights on/off and just the vastness of a city like Chicago/New York when you really zoom in. This is a building across the way from my inlaws. I grabbed my tele and zoomed. This again was inspired by the man Joe McNally as his project: The 21st Century Grid

In early 2002, in a justified act of revenge, I stole my friend Andrea Zink's bra. You know, that fleshy, beige-coloured bra all girls own for under white or sheer tops.
I began a campaign to photograph as many friends, acquaintances and even family in the bra. Then I sent the photos to people I knew around the globe with as a postcard template which they printed out and mailed back to Andrea, convincing her that her bra was on a walkabout around the world—torturing her from each locale.
Andrea hated it. One day, figuring I must've been the cause of all this, she marched into my office and threw a particular postcard (#002 to be precise) at my head and yelled "Make it stop!"
I did not.
