wooden heel. needs a lot more sanding and smoothen-ing out. Also still not quite sure on what the top part should be made out of. i was thinking of using the ides from my first progress check, and also paper macheing the heel blending the top half and the hee together to look like one piece.
After measuring out the proportions in masking tape and lightly scratching the outline into the acrylic layer using a scalpel, I painted the base tones of the body.
The village is not as elaborate as in the past, fewer buildings for sure. People and props come next. It's been a tough year. Hoping next year will be a bit brighter and uncertainties about the future answered. Hopeful, as always. No other option.
I used a slow shutter speed and increased the exposure to get a lighter photo for this shallow dof portrait. Rule of thirds.

August 7th and the stone wall has been completed apart from some maintenance pointing. The wood pile has been relocated along with all the pieces of sand stone left over. The garden area has now all been sown with grass seed with good growth on that which was sown 2 weeks ago. The old iron railings that Dave has carefully extended are fitted & have been painted. The very heavy 550kg concrete ring & cap have been installed over the rain water tank.
