Jeff and I had the afternoon off today. So with Kai next door at

Michelle's, we worked on cleaning up the garage. Jeff finished his

workbench and we were finally able to get the saw and rolling cabinets

in place. Jeff started putting all his tools away, but we ran out of

time. Maybe we will get some more done tomorrow...

Slowly - but progress none the same.

Excellent Olympic exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. My advice though is to have your coffee at 'Notes' at the bottom of St Martin's Lane rather than in the gallery cafe.

All of the over-wintered plants (begonias and coleus) are outside and putting up new growth. The petunias and verebena in the front boxes are coming along, and last year's caladium tubers are putting up leaves in the corner round planter. In the lower-left corner, the very last of the pansies are sharing a pot with the very last daffodil (which never bloomed). It's just about time to pull it up (along with the very last of the muscari), dry it out, and stick it in a bag for next year.

Lots of work under the wings, still looks a bit tatty!
