this unit has sat for more than a week while the BNSF refuses to haul it because they wont send mechanical forces to inspect the just rebuilt locomotive. Its some day headed to the CP for lease.
It was rebuilt by Progress rail's mayfield KY shop though at this point its sitting south of VMV in North yard

The city has cut down this huge, perfectly healthy cottonwood tree in Lilydale Park. The stump is over six feet across. It appears to be part of their ongoing effort to "improve" this wilderness park by paving more of it. Bastards.

heres the universal controller in progress. decided to add OSC so i could essentially just use my touchscreen laptop as an additional controller for my primary pc... good times. still lots left to put in
The left aileron is ready for chemistry, the right aileron is almost ready (just the skins need deburring and dimpling. Both fuel tanks are now waiting for fuel cap flange and fuel level sensor fitting.
Parts shown here in green are complete, yellow are awaiting some final riveting or blending tasks, orange are awaiting primer, and red are works in progress. Uncolored parts haven't yet been worked on.

A bulldozer has been at work and efficiently removed any sign of what one man's life revolved around. This was the site of a secondhand appliance business which was a neighborhood fixture for decades. It wasn't a neighborhood enhancement, as can be seen from a couple shots (scroll down) that I took when it was still going strong. But some probably thought of E.C. Sharp's business as one of the features that "made Five Points weird" -- a virtue in their minds. Next door to the former E.C. Sharp's is now a Waffle House. Nothing "weird" there.
The cleanup probably did deprive a few (or more?) rats of their homes.
What next? Further "progress" in some shape or form. Probably nothing that'll be called weird.
BTW, I did "trespass," a violation of one of the Ten Commandments if I remember correctly. Wait, it's actually a sin mentioned in the Lord's Prayer. Strange how that verb is still around, if only on signs.
the tower on the left is 115kv but look totally like a 230kv. The one on the right is 230kv and looks like a 345kv. This company has impressive structures.

I say Mostly because my personal belief is that any project undertaken is never finish. There is always room for improvement.
December 22. The dormitory I lived in at the age of 17 is soon going to be torn down. In its place this new palace is being built for the girls. Sometimes moving onward is a little bit sad. I'll miss the musty moldy smell of the old place.
