The introduction to the book which shows a picture of prehistoric life contrasted with modern life and it's great radio masts with an early man who has a "brutish" appearance shows the early optimism and belief in progress which was current after the Great War to End All Wars and before the coming of the depression.

Heres what I did at work today. It's not complete, but I had to share it. I really am enjoying working on this piece... will post the finished piece when it's done.
I have now burnt the top layer of chiffon by using a heat gun. I then teased the fibre through the stitching by using a teasle brush ( shown at the top of the picture).
This now completes the preparation of the background fabric for the handbag.

Keep it fresh
I'm making small amounts of progress towards getting a decent photo of the night sky. I was torn between this one and another I took with a slightly different composition, but in the end I chose to share this one since it just seems to be much more balanced than the other one I was debating on sharing.
The progress of completed pieces so far.
I'm not as far along as I'd like to be, but it seems that since I'm doing this in my spare time, that this is as good as it gets for now.

Placing your skis (or snowboard) under your bed dramatically increases the likelihood of significant local snowfall. Although the science of this remains a mystery, the historical record is quite clear: When your skis/snowboards are under your bed, it snows. When they are not, it remains dry.
I'm doing my part. You should too.
