I am considering the pre-nursing program in La Ceiba, Honduras. During my time as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, I had the opportunity to be a Spanish/Ngobere (the indigenous language in Panama) to English translator for doctors, which inspired me to transition to a career in nursing.
The Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard held its annual Spring Show and Sale May 7- 10, 2015 in its new state-of-the-art facility at 224 Western Avenue, Allston, MA.
More than seventy artists displayed an extraordinary selection of ceramic work for sale. From functional dinnerware to sculptural masterpieces, this popular exhibition has something for everyone and attracts several thousand visitors each year.
The Visual Arts Program nurtures and develops the creativity of children and youth and enriches their lives with a true appreciation and understanding of art. The young artists acquire skills in artistic expression through color, line, shape, space, texture, form and design. A portfolio system encourages them to keep records demonstrating successes, growth and creativity over time and to actively participate in the process of self and peer criticism. Many of Lubuto’s children and youth find the visual arts to be their best medium of self-expression, learning and communication, and their self-esteem is significantly enhanced.
Hangzhou Asian Film Festival - HAFF, was found in 2009 by a group of young filmmakers who intend for festival to become a celebration of new cinema by emerging young Asian filmmakers. The 5th edition of HAFF will be hosted from 18th to 26th, October, 2013 in Hangzhou city, the People’s Republic of China.
HAFF aims to promote and share the most creative and innovative films directed by young Asian filmmakers that are devoted to reflecting the diversity and the complexity of the times we live in. HAFF is also trying to foster the cinematic literacy of local Hangzhou audiences, and is committed to providing an opportunity for cross-border communication for young Asian filmmakers, especially between those based in Mainland China and those abroad.
