National Air and Space Museum Recreates Launch of Apollo 11 on Washington Monument With Historic Projection-Mapping Program
Throughout 2019, the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo missions and help lead the national celebration of the first moon landing July 20, 1969.
The Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum will present a once-in-a-lifetime celebration of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 this July in partnership with the U.S. Department of the Interior and 59 Productions. For three nights—July 16, 17 and 18—a full-sized, 363-foot Saturn V rocket will be projected onto the east face of the Washington Monument from 9:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. On Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20, a special 17-minute show, “Apollo 50: Go for the Moon” will combine full-motion projection-mapping artwork on the monument and archival footage on screens to recreate the launch of Apollo 11 and tell the story of the first moon landing.

Como parte de la celebración del Día Internacional de los Pueblos Indígenas , el Movimiento de Pueblos, Comunidades y Organizaciones Indígenas de la Ciudad de México, organizó un programa de actividades que comenzó con la mesa redonda “Los derechos de los pueblos y barrios y comunidades indígenas en la ciudad de México”, en la cual participaron Eduardo Vázquez Martín, secretario de Cultura de la Ciudad de México; la Etnóloga Margarita Warholtz; Rafael Caztelan y el Abogado José Luis Castro, con la moderación de Marco Matías Alonso. Los participantes abordaron temas sobre la defensa de los territorios indígenas, derechos culturales y derechos político-electorales en materia indígena en la Ciudad de México.

The Seabiscuit program took place on August 2003 at Countryside.
Seabiscuit's former jockey lives locally and he described the world of thoroughbred racing in the 1930s when Seabiscuit was the “all-star” of all time. He shared a scrapbook filled with his racing career highlights and shared many memories. The library was filled to capacity that day.
April 8, 2011 - The Class of 1963 met at the Student Success Center at Highpointe Apts to discuss the Bridge program between Tri County Tech and Clemson and also to listen to students and parents involved.
Our Summer Performance Program students had a great time at Berklee Valencia.
They had the opportunity not only to develop their amazing artistry and talent, but also to get to know friends from all over the world.
From the first campus tour when they arrived, to the concerts they gave over their last days at the school, all the beautiful memories they made will surely last a lifetime!

The Manheim Township Lions Club & the Conoy, Marietta and East Petersburg Lions Clubs have joined with the Manheim Lions Club to sponsor the B.R.A.K.E.S. pro-active teen driving school. The first 2013 event was held April 6 and 7 at the Manheim Auto Auction. Some 150 plus students and their parents participated.
