Original work on iPad Procreate.

The prompt for the 23rd of #marchofrobots was land. I'm happy with how this turned out and I'm amazed at how well #procreate simulates traditional mediums like charcoal, graphite, and pastels. #marchofrobots2018 #robot #island #ship #surprise #ipadproart #land #sea #ocean #underwaterrobotics #underwater

On and off over the course of the day, no idea about total time, and it's not done.

Gila commented on a previous version that she still knows one of the people in this photo, and I had been wondering about them all as I studied them. I hope her friend is entertained by finding herself in some of these images.

Gila also thought Shapeless Dress was the teacher. This was my conclusion also. If I squint my eyes at the photo, I think i see the blur of the conductor's baton emanating from her hand. Adding that is part of what's still undone in this piece.

Another thing I was thinking about while doing this how the photo encapsulates an era - not just in hair and clothing styles but in the fact that there used to be music (and art) programs in the public schools - I believe they have pretty much disappeared here in the USA.

There were a couple of things about procreate that were driving me crazy while I did this but I can mostly no longer remember what they were - it'll come back to me when I get back to this.

I think one was that the brush size slider is not associated with a particular brush/eraser so if you change the size of one you've changed the size of all.

Oh, I know, how come saving to photos is only in edit mode, not from the gallery?

This one was really fun to do; relaxing listening to wonderful jazz and the canvas; beautiful!!

Étienne...

This one took me awhile. This scripture talks about our bodies being a gift from from God and "bought with a price."

Now it might be a stretch to change the "C" into the Euro symbol... but it works for me (and yes, I think that we are worth more than 1€6).

This one was the one that I nit-picked at the most and in the end made the tag a little larger.

Oh, and the dove... "What? know ye not that you body is a temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you..." (1 Cor 6:19)

A character design for a horror film; I wanted to create a character that would be terrifying from the elderly's perspective. What could be worse that a giant, very, VERY old school catholic school teacher? You know, the kind who used to feel no remorse about slamming a metal ruler on children's fingers when you didn't give them the right answer? As the Lord intended no doubt..

Procreate painting of John Goodman. Enjoy!

Brushes 3 is out for iDevices but I'm not loving the interface changes. Seems like during the long wait for a Brushes upgrade, I've become a Procreate fan instead. So instead of fooling around with Brushes, I'm back to exploring the different Procreate brushes.

Never posted a drawing demo but have been so impressed with the recently purchased iPadPro's performance that I did a quick drawing from imagination. Am using the Procreate app and Sensu stylus (while waiting for the Apple Pencil to be delivered). The iPadPro's dimension and fast chip performance lend themselves so well to drawing/painting that I don't have to dwell on laggy performance. (Video capture via iPhone6 Plus.)
