Procreate app on ipad pro with a borrowed element from Artrage app. I had posted something on social media previously and was vainly hoping for a "like." So I said to myself, ”Oh who cares." At the library recently, I saw a book with an attractive cover with flowers partially in front, partially behind. So I thought I’d give this style a try.
Jan 8, 2025. I had to use the iPad to get the level of brightness necessary. (Procreate App) I did not personally witness this scene; it is based on a photo in the NY Times. However, the large Eaton fire is 5 miles from us and we are using the Watch Duty App that updates us on this ever-changing firestorm in LA County.

Procreate, ArtStudio, Waterlogue, Glaze & Stripdesigner Apps
From life / observation
The light was bright and it was hard to see the iPad's screen.
Top left, Art Studio to make it darker and increase contrast.
Top right, draw on it some more in Procreate.
Lower left, Waterlogue filter.
Lower right, Glaze filter. Stripdesigner to lay it all out as a filmstrip. Tip the hat to Warhol, of course.
It was great to finally meet Uma, who lives not that far from me and has been here at the party practically since the beginning. I look forward to more meeting and talking and drawing!

Finished work so sat in the shed and drew this on ipad while listening to a Wittertaining podcast. Liked the idea of Raging Armadillo as a film title name hence the image. Haven't seen Godzilla yet but Gareth Jones was a pleasure to listen to, as always are Messrs Mayo and Kermode.

Procreate App
One in a set of very quick sketches from imagination - often single line, often left handed.
One more nebula, made on the iPad Pro using Procreate. This one fits the 15" MacBook Pro retina screen.
My Mother's Dementia.
The Procreate app seems to have come on in leaps and bounds. An old drawing vectorised in Vector Pro and added to in layers in Procreate

I like the new Robin Hood Funko toys. Ages ago I sketched what I thought they should look like, including Robin and Little John in their fortune teller disguise.
I've been experimenting with getting the iPad, various apps and numerous stylus' to fit the way I naturally draw. The iPad is ok for sketching, but isn't so great for detailed drawings... at least not without significant effort. This is one of my recent experiments... its still an uphill battle to get the effects on the iPad to mimic what I could do quickly and way more easily on paper. However, bit by bit, certain effects are starting to come together.

Can you say HD canvas? This update is going to be huge. The Procreate developers have posted up a list of features that will be included in v.1.5 when it's released.
