Happy May!! Here's this month's art from my Sugar Skulls 2015 Calendar. I created it digitally using the Procreate iPad app for the skull and surrounding details, and added the background rays in Photoshop.

I think these were all 5 minutes or less...
Done over skype from California, USA to Oxford, UK at the Julia Kay's Portrait Party meet up.
Working that fast, it sometimes veers towards caricature, sorry for the overly long noses, etc.
The computer at the Oxford end was at a level that everyone leaned over to peer down at me and I felt I had the view of a baby in a carriage being oohed over... which was a different point of view!

I found out about March of Robots late on the 22nd of March. The prompt for the 22nd was "Race". I assumed they meant the running type and not the ancestral type. This was the first drawing I've posted from my ipad pro.
For some reason, Brazilian model Flavia Lucini liked this photo on my Instagram account.

Jenny was in town and we got together for tea and a quick drawing or two. Alas, no likeness but perhaps the spirit of her infectious smile comes through.

Quick sketches at a cafe - we had intended to start planning for the 2015 JKPP Meetup in SF but did not get to it that day.

Apple, marble, rose, rocket and bird. On procreate app. Nice to draw while listening to podcasts. Added in elements from other drawings and altered the hue, saturation and brightness.
The SW catalog of characters runs deep. I look forward to Doorables once we get past obvious ones like Luke, Leia, and Grogu.

Pat, my apologies for how much I've aged you here. Nor do I have Picasso's arrogance to say eventually you will look like this, rather the drawing went in its own direction.
These are from Pat & my meet up in Oakland, CA, USA earlier this month.
