Jenny was in town and we got together for tea and a quick drawing or two. Alas, no likeness but perhaps the spirit of her infectious smile comes through.

Freehand from a photo of Nasir, known on flickr as 'Crystal Robot'

~ 60 minutes.

About two thirds of the way through I realized it was reminding me of someone famous, definitely a bad guy, and with a little digging around on google I figured out it was Christopher Walken.

Hopefully Nasir has always wanted to be a bad guy. It seems a little appropriate to me because although I know 'they' are actually manufacturing crystal robots these days, the name always makes me think of the crystal entity in Star Trek - definitely a bad guy.

There's more I wanted to do here, but I ran out of time. I started coughing again, definitely time for bed.

Brushes 3 is out for iDevices but I'm not loving the interface changes. Seems like during the long wait for a Brushes upgrade, I've become a Procreate fan instead. So instead of fooling around with Brushes, I'm back to exploring the different Procreate brushes.

The basics of Vulnerability 101 (and it rhymes! 😉) The moment we let down our guard and share our truth — truth that most often feels scary to admit for fear of being rejected — that’s the moment we become most capable of true human connection. Reading over #theimperfectboss tag feed today, I was overcome with how beautiful it is to see so much honesty, so much scary vulnerability, all for the shared purpose of saying to somebody somewhere who needs it: “Me too. I have fears and flaws and failures too.” Sharing the whole of who we are feels risky because deep down we all fear being alone, being rejected, being isolated. But the truth is that none of us is truly alone. We all share common ground in one way or another and when we open our true selves up to being seen, that’s when we invite others to find that common ground with us. Today was an amazing day for vulnerability, connection and TRUTH. I can only hope to continue the conversation by sharing not just the glossy bits of our lives, but the fears, the flaws, the failures too. We are imperfect AND we are whole. ***

Today’s piece was made in the @Procreateapp with an #iPadPro and #ApplePencil and it’s now available in the #MVartshop! There are just 10 available and then they’re gone! I hung some new work at the Driftwood public house resturant in Plymouth yesterday. They pop off that red wall so well. One side was some new trooper helmets and the other giant monsters. Can't wait to try the food. I hear it's great. There should be an opening night coming up soon I will keep you posted. Thanks to Mike and Andy for all the help and support. You guys are the bee's knees!
