Loggers, Sawmiller and Shieldsmiths

A trio of scenes showcasing the process of transforming trees into shields in medieval times. These workers are from the town of Batuhan, in northern Kaliphlin. This MOC is my entry into the Ye Olde Woodes category of the 2020 Colossal Castle Contest (CCC XVIII).

The manufacturing process is very easy and simple, but requires a long time to get better results takes approximately 3-4 hours

Live visuals made with processing. wormy thingy with

sound reactive colors. It was the first attempt to get

sound reacting working in linux using PD to analyse the signal and send it via osc to processing. Unfortunatelly it isn't as precise i i was expecting... one day i'll get it right... one day i'll...

Sucker for vintage! It just opens up another world where I envision the history behind the object/subject. I need time to go through the emotions, even though is a made up story in my head 😆😁

i love kandinsky...i know it's a stupid work, nothing hard to do, but i like the global effect a lot

Public sculpture on the edge of Paternoster Square by Thomas Heatherwick. I've just discovered that it is actually called 'Paternoster Vents' and functionally provides a vent for an electricity substation below it.

It has subsequently become known as 'Angel's Wings'.

Taking the last two kaleidoscopic pieces a little further. I wanted to make an expandable sheet of the kaleidoscope triangles which I can resize dynamically. These grabs were made with webcam input but after seeing the work of Movak, I tried pointed the camera at the monitor and was very impressed with the result. Thanks for the inspiration!

"W świecie silosów, przenośników i torów"

02.12.2021

early morning at Newport Or

These are preview images for the talk I am giving at UCLA tomorrow.

Made with Processing and runs in near realtime (anywhere from 5 to 30 fps). The sphere surface is not traditionally texture mapped and is made up of a couple hundred freely moving overlapping textures. The entire system is dynamic, and with a zippy computer, could probably be audio responsive with little extra overhead.

A Snowdrop with a little bit of iPiccy magic :-)

I am going to the opticians shortly to have the back of my eyes photographed, this entails having drops put in them that affect my vision for the rest of the day. Tomorrow I am going to hospital to see a surgeon for a check up and hopefully getting some news on when the reversal operation can take place. I will try to catch up with everyone over the weekend :-)
