We stopped by a used bookstore today and I took a picture (because, books) and, naturally, had to run the result through my new favorite filter...

From Wikipedia:

The Crescent Nebula (also known as NGC 6888, Caldwell 27, Sharpless 105) is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, about 5000 light-years away from Earth. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1792.[2] It is formed by the fast stellar wind from the Wolf-Rayet star WR 136 (HD 192163) colliding with and energizing the slower moving wind ejected by the star when it became a red giant around 250,000[3] to 400,000[citation needed] years ago. The result of the collision is a shell and two shock waves, one moving outward and one moving inward. The inward moving shock wave heats the stellar wind to X-ray-emitting temperatures.

Heavily processed picture of our Christmas Tree with Tigger and Yuba underneath, pretending to enjoy the view of the tree rather than being honest and planning an attack on it.

these are my first experiments - faster than doing with action scripting and free.

I wanted to try portraiture more--my work has been mostly aviation for a few months now...it's time to get back into a more subtle realm.

Still playing around with my first work, Process_01. Either you take to it or not. I kind of like the forms it's making.

It was working well with listening to Minamo's 'When Unwelt Melts'

The Climatron tropical greenhouse dominates the skyline while Dale Chihuly's Walla Walla Onion sculptures drift about the reflecting pool in the foreground.

fits right over the head- fitting took far longer than I feel it ought to have, but I know why. Grr.
