This may drive purists up the wall. Apologies beforehand.

I've recently learned about the language processing, where you can write your own visual scripts. Fairly cool stuff. This is a "filter" that basically takes an image and creates a "Chuck Close" version of it using circles and squares.

Nothing cooler than writing your own software to manipulate an image. Kind of like artistic hacking.

The process of work for music album's cover

This is an experimental peice. It is the head of a nail shot using an extreme specialty macro lens (very difficult lens for me to use). The image was then processed in photoshop to give it the lighting effects.

This picture was processed using color saturation which is a very popular way to process moon images to bring out the brown and blue under-tones.

Smoothing out the relief with a finer tool, and then rough sanding Carving faciel features. This is a little misleading because the exposed wood looks like the line. But what I will do next is neutralize the wood tone on either side of the carved line and the old sketch design will come back quite a bit. so lots of sanding tommorow. I'm not sure if I will try and carve the hands, probably just paint them... Might be a few key flowers that get carved too.

For a few years now, i've made cards in batches of at least 2. i have all the supplies out anyway, so if i have a design i'm really happy with, it's easier to do them all at once. i send out a lot of cards, too, so i need some for sending, some for sale, and one for me to keep.

I can't decide if I like the new one better?
