♫But I'm getting better at admitting when I'm wrong
I'm happier than ever, at least that's my endeavor
To keep myself together and prioritize my pleasure♫

Too bad this image was not composed better. I cropped it in a bit to make it somewhat work.
The young one to the rear was trying to sniff me out over the head of the sibling. These creatures, especially when they are young, seem to prioritize what their nose tells them over that of their eyes. Apparently my honest face and non-threatening scent is an asset in the bubble of my wildlife photography. Mosquitos on the face of the fawn in front.
We have allowed our governments to prioritize profit over people. We have created a system where the health and lives of those who aren't billionaires (who continue to get richer) are not valued at all. We've been forced into situations while we are still working sick, getting everyone else around us sick and we've been trapped into fighting amongst ourselves instead of holding those in power to be accountable for true public health measures, accurately informing the public and reporting data, and providing safeguards for all workers. This is a catastrophic situation. I am not sure what is actually worse-Coronavirus or human greed-but I'm guessing its the latter.
No one is going to come save us.
Some say your birthday has to be special. But they do not mention what you got to do, to just turn a year older. You have to learn to dream, to learn, to fight... to put a smile when times get rough and after all you get served cake.. with candles.
Luckily enough, I have people in my SL that would give me a party hat would throw a "Shorty is your birthday" song and will prioritize their time cause im special to them.
Lili... When I tell you that I love you. I mean it. You are my Meredith Grey and I am your Kristina Yang. Thank you so much for making my birthday this special. With little sobbing breakdowns and including your friends to wear hats and keep us company while we sip coffee!
To all of them that will gratulate me ! Thank you so much for your wishes and for taking the time to acknowledge that some people out there need to be told how great they are ♥
I apologize for not being so active lately and not leaving comments to all my friends here on the Flickr but in the last year my life has changed radically and as a result i'm not so invoved in my hobby. I miss my hobby so much but i have prioritized other things. I want my time and i'll be back again.
Untill then take care my Flickr friends and keep shooting every moment is unique!
Thank you all and individually for your wonderful comments over the years! ❤️

November (at the Diamond District)
It's just that, a lonely tree in the middle of the French countryside with the Pyrenees in the background covered by clouds.
I made the photo prioritizing the luminosity of the tree ignoring the rest and thanks to the lack of an aggressive sun, the photo was regular because the landscape part was very blurred and with very little detail. The tree, perfect.
Then, with the editing, I got detail and color in the landscape and well contrasted clouds. Both the detail and the color must already be in the picture, the only thing I can do is to show them to the viewer. I can not invent anything.
But as always I look for something more, I added a texture to blur the image and give it a different tone.
I am aware that some ones think that photography should be what the camera presents, but as always I'm shooting in RAW, editing is essential and is what I like.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Routines, habits, rituals and traditions... a natural progression.
We seem to need rituals and traditions, they give us a sense of control even when we face uncertainty.
And usually we create rituals around the things that we value or like, the things we are willing to prioritize and spend time and energy.
I think we need that "break" from real life.. and we need the meaning a ritual brings... even if it's just the making of a morning coffee. 😉
"Hold up a mirror and ask yourself what you are capable of doing, and what you really care about. Then take the initiative - don't wait for someone else to ask you to act."
~Sylvia Earle~
"The key is taking responsibility and initiative, deciding what your life is about and prioritizing your life around the most important things."
~ Stephen Covey~
"Chess teaches foresight, by having to plan ahead; vigilance, by having to keep watch over the whole chess board; caution, by having to restrain ourselves from making hasty moves; and finally, we learn from chess the greatest maxim in life - that even when everything seems to be going badly for us we should not lose heart, but always hoping for a change for the better, steadfastly continue searching for the solutions to our problems."
~ Benjamin Franklin~
I believe that today people find it more and more difficult to take initiatives. Everybody seems to me hesitant, suspicious and fearful. I wish I could reassure them and help them understand that nothing will happen unless we take the intiative to do it. Believe you can and you are half a way there!
Happy new week ahead everyone! Thank you for your visits and your constructive and sweet comments always... xoxo
Going out to the orchards has been a goal of ours for many years. Unfortunately, flowering time is so short and it always seems to coincide with other obligations. One good thing that has come out of the pandemic is our re-prioritizing our lives. Now, flowers take precedence over other things that have lost their significance. In less than a week, we made two trips to fields over 2 hours away. There are closer ones, but, somehow, the further into the countryside we go, the happier we are.

Vietnam
It took me some time to identify and organize the 82 species from 28821 photos (meanwhile reduced to 21231) from our 2 weeks trip to Vietnam.
Now I am going to select and show here at least one photo for species, but I guess some species won't be showed because lack of quality. Let see if I have minimal quality photos to exhibit here at least 70 species.
Compared to other destinations we have already visited, 82 species may not seem very much to you, however this time we prioritized close range photos at expenses of the number of species. For that we used a total of 9 hides in 5 different habitats.
The use of hides allowed us to obtain high detail photos. However, as is well known, in tropical forests the lack of light forces us to use very low shutter speeds and very high ISOs.
I even had to use frequently ISO 12800 and a shutter speed of 1/10s. Sometimes we didn't even have enough light to allow camera auto-focus. For me the solution I found was zoom out, focus and then zoom in again.
I wanted to start with the Pittas because, a few years ago, when I saw a photo Bar-bellied Pitta for the first time, that beauty left me amazed and put Vietnam on our wish list.
Love in Slow Motion - Ed Sheeran
It's been a while since we've been alone
To turn off the world and the telephone
I need to tell you you're beautiful
'Cause it's been a while and I apologize
I just get caught up in the rat race I'm runnin'
Chasin' a moment, I'm hoping is comin'
If I stopped and took a look around
It's in front of my eyes, eyes
Baby, let's slow down time
Maybe just press rewind
Darling, that dress reminds
Me of the first time
And I wanna love tonight
One on one by the candlelight
Over and over, we spend our lives
Living fast forward, but not tonight
Love in slow motion
It's been a while since it was you and me
Too many friends, too many evening drinks
Yeah, we commit to so many things
But not to ourselves, and I apologize
Sometimes you're sad, and you tell me it's nothin'
And I brush it off because there's always somethin'
But I need to change my perspective
And prioritize-ize
'Cause one thing I know, it's this
Every moment missed
Can be restored with your lips
It only takes one kiss
And I wanna love tonight
One on one by the candlelight
Over and over, we spend our lives
Living fast forward, but not tonight
Love in slow motion
Ooh-ooh
Ooh-ooh
Love tonight
One on one by the candlelight
Over and over, we spend our lives
Living fast forward, but not tonight
Love in slow motion
Wanna love tonight
One on one by the candlelight
Over and over, we spend our lives
Living fast forward, but not tonight

Brutalist architecture is an influential and polarizing architectural style that emerged in the mid-20th century. It is characterized by its raw, robust, and utilitarian aesthetic, often featuring large, exposed concrete structures. Brutalist buildings display a sense of monumentality and solidity, with bold geometric forms and a distinct lack of decorative embellishments. The style prioritizes functionality and the honest expression of materials, focusing on the inherent qualities of concrete. While some consider Brutalism to be visually austere, proponents of the style appreciate its uncompromising honesty, the sculptural qualities of its forms, and its ability to evoke a sense of awe and timelessness.

When the salmon run happens in Alaska, the bears get quite active, for they know that it's the time to stock up on them. Nowhere is that more true than in Katmai National Park, where the brown bears congregate to test their fishing skills. They chase the salmon, whether in a literal run after them, or patiently atop of the falls waiting for them to jump, or swimming about hoping to find one along the way. Every bear has a different technique. While I find all of that fascinating, I really love watching them as they rip into to the salmon, prioritizing different parts of the salmon, as they go about it ... the skin, the roe (if female), the head, the tail, the overall flesh. All the while, the gulls congregate nearby waiting for scrapes, along with some of the younger, less experienced bears. It just seems to natural and relaxing to me. If I were ever to come back as a bear, I would want to be a brown bear of Katmai. :-)
Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing Sunday. Thanks for looking.

I've heard a lot of arguments about how movements should be separate because they might have different histories, have different goals, or different means of arising at these goals.
But all of those arguments ignore something extremely crucial that I don't want any one of you to miss: Some people don't have a choice. For some, the very notion of acceptance of their full existence is in jeopardy. How can we ask any human to give up a part of themselves or prioritize? Would we do that? We are the sum of many identities and all should be celebrated.
I also strongly believe that working together will accomplish a lot more. If you support LGBTQ rights, you should also absolutely support Black Lives Matter and vice versa. The oppression of the masses is controlled by a powerful few. It is their agenda to get different races and oppressed groups to fight against each other.
So, if you are saying, for instance: "Well, I support gender equality but I don't support Black Lives Matter" then you're wrong. Those two statements cannot exist in reality without a terrible combustion. We all must fight for this movement and put aside our own personal agendas that are poisoning our spirits.
If you do not stand with the oppressed, you do not stand with humanity.

A regatta is a term commonly used in the world of sailing to refer to a competitive event where boats, typically sailboats, race against each other. Regattas can vary widely in scale and format, from small local races to large international competitions. Here are some key points to note about regattas:
Racing Format: Regattas feature organized racing events with specific rules and courses. The format can include different types of races, such as fleet races (where multiple boats race against each other), match races (one-on-one competition), or distance races (longer courses that test endurance).
Classes and Categories: Boats participating in a regatta are often grouped into classes or categories based on factors like size, design, and performance. This ensures fair competition and allows sailors with similar boats to compete against each other.
Competitors: Regattas attract a diverse range of participants, from amateur sailors and local yacht club members to professional racers and international teams. The level of competition can vary, with some regattas focused on fostering community participation, while others are highly competitive.
Events and Festivities: Regattas often extend beyond the races themselves. Many regattas incorporate social events, parties, and gatherings, fostering a sense of camaraderie among sailors and providing opportunities for networking and socializing.
Local and International: Regattas can be local, regional, or international in scope. Some famous international regattas, like the America's Cup or the Volvo Ocean Race, draw global attention and feature top-level professional sailors and cutting-edge technology.
Traditions: Regattas often have their own unique traditions and rituals, which can vary by location and the history of the event. These traditions can include ceremonial flag-raising, prize-giving ceremonies, and more.
Spectator Sport: Many regattas are open to spectators, allowing them to watch the races from the shore or designated viewing areas. Some regattas, like Cowes Week, are famous for their onshore festivities, making them attractive not only to sailors but also to spectators.
Safety and Rules: Regattas prioritize safety, with strict rules and regulations in place to ensure the well-being of participants. Organizers also monitor weather conditions closely to determine whether races should proceed.
Diverse Types: Regattas can focus on various types of sailboats, including dinghies, keelboats, multihulls, and more. They can also be specific to certain age groups or skill levels, making the sport accessible to a wide range of participants.
A regatta is a thrilling and organized sailing competition that brings together sailors of all levels and backgrounds to race their boats while fostering a sense of community and celebrating the sport of sailing. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or a spectator, regattas offer an exciting and enjoyable experience on the water.

National Smile Day is a special occasion that celebrates the power and beauty of smiles. This annual event encourages people to share their smiles, spread joy, and embrace the positive impact a smile can have on our lives and the lives of others. National Smile Day takes place annually on May 31. The primary aim of this day is to emphasize the transformative effects of a healthy smile and encourage individuals to showcase its power. This day serves as a reminder to prioritize happiness, kindness, and the simple act of smiling.

And we have walked together,
together in joy, together in sorrow
and you have often filled the emptiness of my words
and you have always let me a good chance in our game.
Because of all of this, and because of other things I'm hidding from you,
I should say thank you for the whole time I've been loving you

- I prioritized f/2.8 and FL 200 to maximize bokeh. Focus on the left eye. Distance to the subject estimated to achive the proper DOF to clearly capture just the face and achive a progressive bokeh from the hair back. I made four test shots; she was pretty patient I must say.
- Processed in LightRoom: only auto lens correction, which provided a negligible improvement (the quality of this lens is amazing). Then I applyied CollorEffex Skin softener on mid details mostly. This filter provided the right glow touch with no other intervention needed. Y used U-points to neutralize the effect of this filter on the center of both eyes and teeth (I usually do this in headshots).
I'm trying to make sense of all of these various things that run through my mind. I don't know why people in SL - who have no idea who I am - hate me. I don't know why kindness, patience and understanding is not always the first response. I don't know why people can't have respect and treat people with tolerance and forgiveness. NONE of us is perfect.
I am re-prioritizing.
Happy New Year to all, I hope that everyone has a better 2021 that 2020 I also hope the last year has been not so much a crap year as a year that allowed us to see what is vital to us and re-prioritize the important things in our life to the front of the line.
Pictured here is the Trani Cathedral taken from the break water jetty that leads out from the city this location allows you to see the city come to life as the black fades to blue and house lights punch through the early morning gloom.
Trani is not a city with an excess of architectural delights after visiting the Cathedral and the Castle one should lose themselves in the streets wandering out from the harbor soaking in the charm of a well-loved and well-used working man’s town well away from the tourist hordes of more familiar locales and if you allow Trani will bestow upon you the gift of understanding the simple coastal Adriatic life.

Proud as a Peacock
Sexual dimorphism in some birds, causes that the female has dull colors, therefore unattractive. Our natural reflex is to prioritize the photography of the male. If there is a bird that does not lose of this differentiation, it is indeed the female red cardinal. On the contrary! She can to be proud of her appearance, as this picture shows so well.
This young red-bellied woodpecker's bill looks to be full-sized but its body has some growing to do to catch up! I guess these woodpeckers have to prioritize what's most important in life, and drilling holes in trees to find food would be near the top of that survival list😀.

I do not understand a quack of what is prioritized when a pair of geese are to look at nesting places. Is it location, view or access to your own landing strip? Who knows...
With the occasion of the holly days that are about to come i want to thank everyone once again for kindness and support and wish all of you a wonderful time together with your loved ones. A time full of light, love ,happiness and harmony in which to remember what a precious gift life is and how important the people that love us unconditional like parents and grandparents are although we tend to forget that till it's to late for them to be a part of our life anymore.Sad how we never realize how fragile life is. Let's at least for some days prioritize love ,kindness and the people that made sacrifices for us to become who we are today and have a wonderful time.
Happy Easter!!!
PS.I apologize for being a bit dramatic but this days always remind me of the people i lost and wish they would still be around .If you still have them please treat them kindly as knowing that you always did the best you could will make their absence one day easier to bear.
Much love & light to you all!

A big part of dressing well is picking the right materials and accessories for the look. When styling this zOOm Verona Dress, I chose to prioritize the look with a simple combination of fabrics and accessories without compromising this dress’ sexy appearance.
This gorgeous zOOm Verona Dress has highly creative cuts making it challenging to style and combine but makes for a very fashionable outfit when done right.
To accomplish this, I chose this tasteful accessory handbag, color coordinated opaque hosiery, boots, and HJ bangles to complete the outfit.
You will find this zOOm Verona Dress being exclusively premiered at Swank Events June Celebration of Color venue.

We spent our family vacation in Grand Marais and at Camp House near Brimson. I prioritized time with family over chasing trains, but made one trip to the famed Toimi overpass to see the 5:00 a.m. North Shore Mining loads one morning. The sun was out until about 10 minutes before the train arrived. Still, I can't complain about seeing 3 SD40-2's instead of the newer power the railroad also uses on these trains.
I didn't have many days available for doing local bird photography this winter, so I tended to prioritize seeking out great grey owls. I did spend one day at a local park, enjoying the common birds you tend to encounter in winter. The black-capped chickadee is always the first to come close to 'beg' for food. Being well rewarded from previous human encounters, they will vocalize a lot and will flutter nearby to get your attention, anticipating a handout.
They are cooperative, cute, and cheery, so I always try to get images of them.
and deciding what I must prioritize next :-)

Egg Rock Light is a lighthouse on Frenchman Bay, Maine. Built in 1875, it is one of coastal Maine's architecturally unique lighthouses, with a square tower projecting through the square keeper's house.[2][3][4] Located on Egg Rock, midway between Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula, it is an active aid to navigation, flashing red every 40 seconds. The light was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Egg Rock Light Station in 1988.[1]
The Egg Rock Light Station consists of two buildings, a combination light tower and keeper's house, and a fog station building. The keeper's house is a roughly square 1+1⁄2-story wood-frame building, with a hip roof pierced by dormers on all four sides. The painted brick tower, 40 feet (12 m) high, rises through the center of the house.[5] The light is a VRB-25 aerobeacon, mounted in a 1986 replacement lantern house. It is configured to flash red every 40 seconds.[6] The fog station is a brick structure southwest of the main building, with a gable-on-hip roof.[5]
Egg Rock Light
The Egg Rock light originally was fitted with a fifth-order Fresnel lens. The fog station (originally steam-powered) was added in 1904. The station was automated by the United States Coast Guard in 1976, at which time its ancillary structures except the fog station were torn down. The lantern house was removed and the light was replaced by the present aerobeacon. After public protest, a replacement lantern house was installed in 1986. The light continues to be managed by the Coast Guard, and is not open to the public; the island and buildings are owned by the United States Fish and Wildlife Service.[

... up the hair, why not the heart?"
a thought-provoking reflection on the importance of self-care and inner transformation. This quote draws attention to the common practice of taking care of our external appearance, such as straightening our hair, while neglecting the well-being of our hearts and inner selves. Guevara’s words serve as a reminder that true fulfillment and happiness come from nurturing our inner selves and cultivating a compassionate and loving heart. It encourages us to prioritize self-reflection, emotional well-being, and personal growth in our daily lives.
Quoted by Guevara. Also found as a Chinese proverb.
This morning I wanted to concentrate on smaller birds and test Sony's Eye AF changes. It works great! With the correct settings, it will prioritize the eye to be in focus instead of the closest point to the camera within the focus area.
I´m sorry I haven´t written for a couple of days now, but I have been quite buzy. I started to empty the boathouse/shed...... we´re planning to renovate the inside and rebuild it to bathroom and toilet. We sat and talked about how much it is to do, and what to prioritize. Stella wanted a bathroom, and I don´t mind at all. And how nice it would be, not having to use that old ugly outhouse! In all other aspects, both Stella and me can live primitive as long it´s needed.
So now the electrician have been here and connected the house to a public line. Truly nice to have electrical light, though we like to read. And I have been preparing for connecting the house to the sewer system. The last few days I have been like a timberjack in action. Cutting down the bush we had..... well, it almost was like a jungle! Now it is ready for the hired machines, which hopefully comes tomorrow, to dig that ditch for the pipes connecting the sewer system.
So when Stella is back, we just have to start build our new bathroom! I just have to buy a toilet, the rest is recycled things found on this property..... So we have to keep hold on to our dream :)
Now..... good night world, new day tomorrow!

We really wanted a nice clean shot of this classic Twin Cities area scene from Mounds Park atop Daytons Bluff. After getting it in clouds the prior day we made sure to prioritize it when Sunday dawned sunny and blue. And while the train we caught was just another typical 1x1 DP setup (my least favorite to photograph but seemingly CP's favorite to run!) at least the light was picture perfect.
CPKC train 148 (Roberts Bank, BC to Bensenville, IL) comes around the corner through Division Street approaching Hoffman Ave. interlocking on Main 2 of the joint CPKC/BNSF St. Paul Subdivision mainline. Interestingly Main 2 here is CP property and is MP 408.9 while Main 1 is BNSF and is MP 429.1. In the background can be seen the impressive downtown skyline and Union Station while in the top right is the dome of the 1905 built state capitol building.
Also note that Great River Road / Shephard Road is empty as it was closed during our visit due to Mississippi River flooding which had crested here on April 27th at 18.2 ft. There also was no river traffic moving, and you'll note that all the barges can be seen safely lashed together and moored up along both banks.

Rarely seen in the US, Gabriel Voisin's very unique luxury cars reflected his aeronautical background, and stand out from the crowd in many ways beyond his wonderful very Art Deco Eagle mascot. Voisin, a French aviation pioneer and the creator of Europe's first manned, engine-powered, heavier-than-air aircraft capable of a sustained flight. During World War I the company founded by Voisin became a major producer of military aircraft, notably the Voisin III. Subsequently, he switched to the design and production of luxury automobiles under the name Avions Voisin. His early cars were some of the finest luxury vehicles in the world, with unique technical details. Many of them won in competition.
In 1919 he started producing cars using Knight-type sleeve valve engines. A former student of the Fine Arts School of Lyon and an enthusiast for all things mechanical since his childhood, Voisin's uncompromisingly individual designs made extensive use of light alloys, especially aluminum. One of the company's most striking early designs was the Voisin Laboratoire Grand Prix car of 1923; one of the first cars ever to use monocoque chassis construction, and utilizing small radiator-mounted propeller to drive the cooling pump. The characteristic Voisin style of 'rational' coachwork he developed in conjunction with his collaborator André Noel. Noel prioritized lightness, central weight distribution, capacious luggage boxes and distinctively angular lines. The 1930s models with under-slung chassis were strikingly low.
In the early 1930s, Gabriel Voisin could not pay all of his draughtsmen any more and a young creative engineer named André Lefèbvre quit, recommended by Gabriel to Louis Renault. Lefèbvre finally entered Citroën where he led three particularly significant car projects: the Traction Avant, the 2CV and the DS, using a lot of Gabriel's lessons, so his design ideas spread throughout the French Auto industry.

Mr. Harrop was a huge fan of UP's DDA40X "Centennial" locomotives. When 25 of them were removed from storage early in 1984, he prioritized photographing them as much as possible.
UP 6910 passed his home in Mountain Green on Aug. 17, 1984, and he gave chase. While the weather was dark and gray, he knew the double diesels wouldn't be around forever. This fine photo was taken in Echo Canyon under threatening skies.
History is grateful Doug was there to record the final months of service. 6910 was retired by UP on May 29, 1985, and scrapped at St. Louis Auto Shredding.

Because of the need to prioritize, there are a few groups of birds, such as small and medium shorebirds, that I do not follow, so I am not that familiar with them. However, i seldom turn down a great chance opportunity for a photo.
I did not have the opportunity to see this bird walk or fly. It does not fit a Solitary Sandpiper in my guides perfectly but i concluded from the overall look and especially the tail that it is one.
Claustro de siete ventanales. (Santes Creus - Cataluña)
Cloister of seven windows. (Santes Creus - Catalonia)
Un abrazo amigos / as.
Antoni Gallart.

History of Photography, in English:
On this occasion the group was made up of three photographers, so after getting up early, we went to the Santes Creus monastery and knowing that we would spend a few hours taking pictures inside it, we had a good breakfast, of the fork and with an excellent wine.
Once inside we already knew that we would encounter the problem of tourists, which made it difficult for us to take the shots, so we had to take each photograph when there were no people or with neutral density filters, so that people did not come out. in the final photo.
The anecdote was when a couple did not finish taking photographs and I lost my patience and told them ... gentlemen I have to take some photos but since I see that they do not end, I will take them with you, only that the photos will appear on television, if you interested!
And they ran off as if the devil was chasing them.
Data on how it was carried out:
The photos are not taken in HDR, so light measurements were important, shooting with matrix metering, prioritizing highlights to maintain maximum information and detail, and recovering shadows during editing.
This photograph is composed of four photographs and recovering the shadows has been quite laborious, I hope you like it.
A hug friends.

Narrowleaf Cottonwood (Populus angustifolia), Quaking Aspen (Populus tremuloides), and Gambel Oak (Quercus gambelii) line the slopes above the Crystal River, near Marble, Colorado.
I have been too busy with cider orchestrations this autumn to make it out into the mountains to witness the golden-leaved glory that is Colorado in its richest color. It is a pity that apples ripen at the same time that leaves turn golden, and I will not prioritize the same way next year. In light of me rueing the trade-offs I have made, I wanted to resurrect one of the finest autumn afternoons our family has spent out in the hills in recent memory. We walked from Marble to the Crystal Mill and back, and the leaves were at peak color. Everywhere one turned the trees created a visual feast of golden hues.
Rheas, like many other birds, cannot create suction to drink water as mammals do. Instead, they rely on gravity to help them swallow. When drinking, a rhea dips its beak into the water to scoop it up, then tilts its head back to let gravity carry the water down its throat. This method is not precise, so they spill a significant amount of water in the process. This behavior is common among large, flightless birds such as rheas, ostriches, and emus, whose anatomy prioritizes other functions over efficient drinking.
