More heat bed press printmaking, this time using cut out shapes rather than organic matter.
This print was taken in one, the ink permeating the paper making a paler colour.
I enjoyed making this one.
On a hot day in the workshop, using these summery colours and shapes seemed right, so out went the blacks and greys and in came the colour.
Monoprint on 250 gsm Somerset using oil-based relief printing inks.

Google Earth image, cropped and converted to B/W in Photoshop. Photointaglio print on Rives BFK paper using Akua carbon black ink and ImagonHD photopolymer film laminated on polycarbonate. Image is 6x8in on 8x10in paper. This type of image is a good choice for Imagon film because it's easier to overlook the seemingly inevitable chips and bumps in the emulsion. I've learned to live with the imperfections :)

A very nice printmaking studio in Odense on the island "Funen"....2 hours and 20 min from where i live ( by train)….3 days course by the danish artist/printmaker Hardy Ernst.
