There was an old printing company in my extended neighborhood that recently went on the market. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to the open house and stumbled across a wealth of old printing gear. Most noteworthy were several old early 1900s letter presses, very similar to the one my dad had in our garage when I was a kid.
This and the other photos from Dimond Printers were taken using Hipstamatic.
I am putting my photos taken on my trip to Europe and the UK with a girl friend in October to November 2012. My camera I had then wasn't good with low light so some of these shots are not great but I have put them as my memories of the trip.

Limitation of 3D printing
Additive manufacturing,or 3d printing,is such a magical method that is anticipated to replace traditional manufacturing methods but there are definitely limitations of 3D printing. The stepped contour reduces the roundness of circular features, which cannot be entirely... - www.prodiecasting.com/limitation-3d-printing/ - www.prodiecasting.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/209/2018/0...

Start by printing a template twice on an A3 size printer. Cut out the prints and stick them to 9mm plywood with non-permanent photomount spray glue.
Cut out the discs with a jig saw or a scroll saw. Cut out the centre of one disc. Then lightly centrepunch all the centres of the holes that need to be drilled and drill away - preferably using a good column drill.
The large holes are drilled with a 40mm spade drill. To prevent ragged edges of these large holes, start from one side and drill halfway through. Then drill from the other side until the centre disc moves down and stop drilling. You can then press out all the discs by hand.
The twelve small holes are 6mm on the skate wheel side and 7.5mm on the handles side, where the T-nuts go.
The centre hole for the skate wheel bolt is 8mm.
An Acrobat Reader (.pdf) template file can be downloaded here.

Feeding the sheet to print - here I'm positioning a sheet that I'm running 2 different RSVP cards on. I'm using one of the Vandercook SP-15 presses at The Arm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn to print 2 sets of wedding invitations.
Here's one of the printing areas in Karachi's Bonanza factory, a very famous and popular brand in Pakistan.
I've been designing a cargo bike recently. This is partly because cargo bikes are A Good Thing, and partly because graphic designer, cyclist and friend Nick Hand wants to take a printing press to local schools to teach them about letterpress printing (and the power of the bike). Oh, he's also going to pedal it across France later this summer, printing postcards as he goes. Pop over to Kickstarter to help make it happen and get yourself a lovely hand printed, bicycle powered postcard or two :
