There’s no time like the present…for presents! Merry Christmas everyone!
This Blythe doll is Lady Panacea for Winter Celebration in Blythe Pure and Simple on Facebook. The Skipper doll is a Hallmark ornament, as is the guitar.
A lovely surprise on my 50th today, this had been several months in the making by my incredibly patient and understanding girlfriend, and with no hint as to what it was when I unwrapped it this morning. Now to find a suitable frame to do it justice. I joked to her that I want another one when I eventually get my red Applause on the road - yes, I have changed my mind about keeping it as a spares car, and am looking for any assistance I can get as regards to getting it welded up - but the summary of the conversation basically amounted to this being a one-off in terms of sewing creations, which is kind of fitting for a car which has dwindled to single-figure survivors.
The man in my life always gets me a special Christmas present and this year it's these tan knee high boots. They are just perfect and can be worn over skinny jeans, or under a midi dress, or with a mini skirt. I can't wait to wear them outside and look elegant while feeling cosy.
I struggle on holidays with the decision to use a snapshot or take a formal photo. I had both options on the card today. This was just too genuine to not use.
This is a great room with vaulted ceilings and it really lights nice. 2 strobes 1/8 pwr (1 near wall, other near center of room). The ceiling angle gives some nice direction and quality to the light.
Hope you saw lots of expressions like this today.

So this is my last official birthday present. Her name is Barbie Kenton (or Ms Kenton as I like to call her). I purchased her using birthday money I had received from my mother and grandmother. She was AUD $135.50 including postage. I am her second owner as I bought her from her original owner. She was purchased by the original owner's grandmother for her 12th birthday in 1967 right here in Australia. I thought it was strange that swirls were still being sold here in 1967! I love the cute writing on the box that was done by the original owner: "This is is the home of :- Barbie Kenton" (see lower right of photograph). I used the name to create the digital signature on the photographs of the doll. The doll came with the box (minus the liner), red mules, earrings, booklet (not pictured) and a selection of clothing hand knitted by the original owner's grandmother and aunt. This doll is in such pristine condition with no paint rubs, gorgeous hair, and barely any scuffs at all. I love her braided ponytail too!

A fancy present box for a 30th birthday. Delivered to a stylish cocktail party in the hills of Perth.
Inside a dense chocolate mudcake filled and covered in white chocolate ganache.
I have wanted to make a present box cake for a while and was very happy that I got my chance!
If there were ever an appropriate character for Flickr, it's Camera Otoko. Chihaya and Hibiki present him here.
I thought there was something vaguely Magritte-esque about the way his unique camera head offsets his ordinary black suit and tie. The white gloves are a nice touch.
I realized this morning that for a long time I lived, for the most part, in my own head. I didn't experience anything fully. What I remember from that period of my life is not what I did, but instead what I was remembering and trying to relive from my past.
But now, finally, I'm a participant in my own destiny.
Thank god. And so what if I wasted my 20's? My 30's are a lot better.

It has 80 triangular faces (Only 20 of them equilateral) 120 edge struts. 42 vertices, 12 pentavalent, the rest hexavalent. Builded from 200 modules in total. Geodesic chord lengths were calculated using an excellent software program called Stella
I folded this model to give as a present to dear friends of mine, Doug & Leen Tucker. (I love you guys.)
I thought that it resembled a bougainvillea flower but my wife said it looked like Barney the dinosaur (because of the colors). Since many care about this character, either hate him or love him, but few are indifferent, I decided to call it Barney-sphere. Let me know what you think.
