The Cinq was a licensed build 1936-1948 Fiat 500A Topolino.
It was presented in Nanterre on March 30, 1936. This was even three months before the Italian 500 'Topolino' was introduced.
Rodolfo Schaeffer was responsible for the design, while Dante Giacosa for the development of the engine.
Probably the owner just finished restoration: the side board is still missing.

Production Cinq Phase 1: 1936-1940/1946-1949, the B-type till 1955.
Date original first reg. number: April 28, 1939.
New French semi-historical reg. number.
Number seen: 2.
This photographic registration of this classic car meeting wasn't planned at all. It was just by accident that I discovered it.

Posting to say present and to let you all know that all is well with me. Sorry for going offline for so long without say a word but I really needed this long break. Also, from now on, I am gonna post a lot less and spend much less time on Flickr mostly because before the break I was spending 3-4 hours a day trying to give feedback to everyone and that was wearing me down. I am planning on posting once or twice a month and give as much feedback as humanly possible. I hope I won't forget anyone.

There are over 100 buildings left in the Wild West "ghost town" of Bodie, California. The Boone General Store is still full of products from the time, as if the entire town full of people just disappeared one day, or got up and left. When you try to look inside, you get reflections of the world outside, as if the present and past merge into one.
We'll schedule several night photography sessions once again in Bodie in 2022, as well as at least one interior access session.

I present this image not as a finished piece of art butmore as a study - a sketch if you will. In the same way an artist might observe a scene I set out to do the same. It's often said It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see and this is so true when it comes to photography. Here I'd set out to find something very elusive in our native English deciduous woodland and I'm not talking red squirrels or badgers - it's more subtle than that. I wanted to find a woodland scene with depth, texture and interest and devoid of clutter, distraction and untidyness. Our deciduous woodlands are not orderly or regimented and so such scenes need to be hunted down. It's quite a challenge. I needed pools of soft light and areas of shade and shadow. I needed layers of texture, colour and vegetation and I needed them all to come together in a pleasing way to allow the eye to rove around and through. I'd like to think I found it here and as these are local woodlands I may well be returning.

Tiny curling tendrils from a waning pink Spider Chrysanthemum at Smith's Lyman Conservatory. The show ended last Sunday, but most of the flowers are still in place. They're still lovely, as they gracefully depart, and their petals become more and more translucent and delicate. 🌸
