Lamomali is a single album collaboration (rather than a band), between -M-, Toumani and Siddiki Diabaté and Fatoumata Diawara.

La Ministra de Inclusión Económica y Social, Ximena Ponce, presidio la inauguración de la "Muestra Fotográfica de Artistas Ciegos", misma que recoge las fotografías realizadas por tres fotógrafos no videntes: el mexicano Gerardo Nigenda, así como los ecuatorianos Javier Serrano y Lenin Carrera. El acto se cumplió en el Hall del Auditorio de Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO), Subsuelo 1.
En el acto que contó con la presencia del Canciller Ricardo Patiño, el Embajador de México en Ecuador, Ernesto Campos y el Director Integral de Discapacidades del MIES, Carlos Palacios; la Ministra Ponce relievó la gestión que hace su portafolio por la inclusión social y económica de las personas con discapacidad en el país. Señaló que fue vital para esta gestión los datos proporcionados por la Misión Manuela Espejo que indica que en el Ecuador existen 27.358 personas con discapacidad visual que representa el 9% de este colectivo poblacional.
Agregó que para atender a este grupo poblacional, el MIES en coordinación con la Federación Nacional de Ciegos financia el proyecto de Atención Integral a Personas con Discapacidad Visual, con un aporte de 350.000 dólares, lo cual permite atender con modalidades de atención domiciliaria en las zonas rurales del país, con la ayuda de 65 promotores también no videntes.
Informó que el MIES junto al Ministerio de Educación y la Federación Nacional de Ciegos del Ecuador, lleva adelante un proyecto inclusivo, el cual a través de 37 centros de atención visual ubicados en varias provincias, atienden a alrededor de setecientas personas ciegas.
Finalmente precisó, que el MIES a través de la Dirección Técnica de Discapacidades, firmó un Convenio de Cooperación Económica de 40.000 dólares con la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales FLACSO, para la ejecución del proyecto “Sociedad y Discapacidad, Experiencias, Conocimiento y Retos Actuales”, con el objeto de realizar cinco investigaciones que permitan aportar conocimientos desde las ciencias sociales para la compresión del tema de las discapacidades en el Ecuador a partir de estudios teóricos y prácticos, así como de encuentros con las organizaciones sociales que trabajan en torno a éste tema y la formación sobre la inclusión de este tema en proyectos y programas.
Dentro del evento se realizó el lanzamiento en versión Braille de los libros "Interactuando con la Discapacidad" y "Lista de requisitos para la aprobación de estatutos, registros de directiva, salida e ingreso de socios y reforma de estatutos entre otros", elaborados en Sistema Braille y Macrotipo, patrocinados por el MIES.
Cabe señalar que la exposición fotográfica estará abierta desde la fecha señalada hasta el 22 de julio del presente año.
