The last time I posted this, I removed it because, timing was off...Then Today , This is a very discouraging world we All live in, Sad... When I saw this sign, originally, I saw Humor, But because of how WE All just can't seem to live in harmony, this sign is something that should not be displayed on the side of the road in Any city... or town... Stay Strong... I decided to post this since the senseless acts keep repeating... God Bless Us All...
according to few people i've met and my father - using mesquite instead of charcoal from the store is waaaaay better, the wood adds a hint of flavor charcoal just doesn't achieve, plus you have to know how to season it. my father enjoys barbecuing, every once in a while, a while back it was practically every saturday or sunday he'd always sizzle up some steaks, chicken fajitas, brisket, sausage, and/or all the other goodies i'm unable to recall. Most of the time it would be O-M-G good! Other times he'd either use a different method cooking that i'd totally dislike or the chicken was a little to raw or too burned on the surface. My mom making potato salad, tasty orange rice, and some drunken beans. Jesus that's what i called one heck of a dinner. This was a while back, now it's not so frequent, i mean it gets tiring to have to cook for hours and preparing everything. One thing i did learn though "good stuff takes work to make." It was great while it lasted. Soon i will actually attempt to be there to shoot the barbecue in process.

Staff were working hard to inflate the play equipment at the lake. It may be sunny but I’m sure the water is still very cold even when wearing a wetsuit. I liked the reflection of these huge rings so chose it for my first upside down photo this week.
CC Week 13: ' uʍop ǝpᴉsd∩'
On an overcast Sunday morning, the North Coast Daylight stands on 1st Street in Eureka, California. The train will depart soon for Willits. During the summer of 1985, the Eureka Southern was a very cool place to railfan. It had long passenger trains, colorful motive power, and a fair amount of freight traffic.
Naturally, ETTS set in. The EUKA was hammered by storms in February 1986. It was a blow that ignited the long decline that resulted in the railroad's eventual demise.
After snapping this Kodachrome, I boarded the train for the ride back to WIllits through the Eel River Canyon. My trip was part of a long weekend that included a ride on California Western and a visit to relatives in Crescent City - an idellic five days.
It is funny how time shifts your priorities. When I originally looked at this scan, the first thing I noticed was the 1961-63 Thunderbird parked up the street.
I did some quick research on this epitaph. Apparently, it's very popular, and appears on many grave markers in New England. Its origins trace to Europe, but no one seems to know it original source.
This is the last photo from this set. I hope you guys have enjoyed this series; expect more of this car (and many other shoots) soon. Would you guys like to see more Monterey shots or is it too late?

Bomb Squad
A common sight in Germany, even 74 years after the War: defusing of unexploded bombs. In average once a month some thousands of people have to leave their homes for some hours, so that the specialists can do their job. Most spectacular in the last few years was one beneath a classroom, where they had to dig a hole inside the building, and another on a minigolf course, that couldn't be defused and had to be detonated in situ.
So - prepare evacuation, go over to my other account and let this come to an end tomorrow.
A word on the Legoes: preparing this picture I realised that I don't have a police car. Yes, I have that mobile command centre, but that's no car to take outdoors, so this is built (and improvised) after the instructions for set 60128. The ambulance is from October 2017 and hasn't seen much action since.

La dieta típica consiste en carne de vaca, cordero y cabra, algunas verduras importadas (zanahoria, patata, cebolla y ajo) y harina. Suelen ir al pueblo más cercano a comprar los productos que necesiten como gasolina, comida (comida procesada, verduras), papel higiénico, etc. Pero todo lo demás lo hacen por sí mismos: amasar la harina y preparar las obleas de las empanadillas, picar la carne, hacer los fideos, etc.

In nomadic families, the woman takes care of the food and the house. The food consists mainly in meat (cow, mutton and goat), some imported vegetables (carrot, potato, garlic and onion) and flour. Usually, they go to the nearest town or village to buy gasoline, food (processed food and vegetables), toilet paper, etc. All other things they prepare it by themselves: the wrappers for the dumplings, the minced meat, the noodles, etc.

Because I hold that edges are the most important places to describe, and I am currently talking about that edge between 'Reality' and 'Artificial Intelligence'.
I see this as important to try both to describe and possibly traverse, as frightening as this might be. At this point it is an unsure space, but straddling edges is how we evolve, perhaps.
I don't believe we can ignore it.
Initially there is a melding, we are in early days. I put up that previous piece to illustrate how inadequate it is now, A.I. I mean, that owning of the 'hallucination' stage, where it admits its own failings to me.
There is room there for work, art and 'stories'. I accept I could be wrong, but this is 'the hill I am 'choosing' to die on', pretending in utilising that melodramatic cliche that 'choice' is an option, or has ever been a possibility, even.
My suggestion is that we are not the 'drivers' anyway.
LOLOG, as Dolly (the first cloned sheep) likes to bleat. And we are off, way off perhaps, but that's part of the 'fun' and the grasping.

Spectacular show of dance and costumes today at the 22nd Annual Texas Pow Wow, where hundreds of Native Americans, representing dozens of tribes from across the U.S. take part. This lady was competing in the over 55 women's dance.
Our timing for the cherry blossoms was spot-on, but apparently we were still a few weeks early for the fields of pink moss (phlox) at the Shibazakura festival by Lake Motosuko in the Fuji Five Lakes region. The trip to this festival was still worth it, and we got to try some interesting foods and see thousands of blooming anemone poppies, even if the phlox wasn't fully ready.
On the day that we went to this festival, Mount Fuji was playing a bit of hide and seek, but it was hard to miss whenever it poked its grand head out for a peek.
