The streetscape was shot taken on Broome St (makes sense) in the SoHo historic district of Manhattan.

Looking close on Friday: Hand(s)

This dragonfly was spotted on the edge of a ditch. I was entertained by its great acting skill. Another photo of this dragonfly was uploaded previously entitled “calm-looking dragonfly.”

The expedition guides preparing the kayaks for the folks who kayaked in Antarctica. Awesome scenery. Folks had the special suits that would keep them from freezing if they fell in the water, and nobody fell in.

This Limpkin was preparing to jump from the stump to the lake's bank at Circle B Bar Reserve (CBBR) near Lakeland, Florida. It posed just long enough . . .

It was a heavily overcast day on location and we ultimately got drenched before we could get back to our car. You can almost see the cloudy skies in this one.

This was taken back in January at the lake. You can tell he has an announcement to make here. Tyler often had something to say! LOL ♥ Miss him and his sassy attitude.

An Oak leaf close to dropping from the tree, full of colour, as cooler temperatures take hold in the RBG's Hendrie Valley, Burlington, Ontario.

Low angle view on a man descending to the beach via iron stairs attached to the Pier building in Scheveningen, The Hague, South Holland, The Netherlands.

( It was minus 2 degrees this a.m. but the light was amazing and such glorious weather for my outing with the photogroup )

A little and very colourful Goldfinch taken today.

I was diagnosed with Stage 3c Ovarian cancer April 17th and started chemotherapy. I needed a way to work through everything and taking pictures helps. Listen to your bodies and get things checked out.

Much love to Coal for helping me through this and giving me a great hair cut!

Not really; the spiders were just enjoying the windy weather we've been having this fall. This was at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge, and just one of dozens of them in a grassy area.

This fox sparrow flew up from its normal grounded hunting, then decided that the higher vantage didn't offer much, so it descended back to the ground. At Commonwealth Lake today.

Though the warblers are in full mating plumage, and they are relatively close to the camera, they will flit and flee just as the finger is about to depress the shutter button. When they assume the posture of the bird in the picture, they are almost gone into the underbrush. Hope you clicked the shutter :-)

I was ready for this Black-throated Green Warbler, and I like this "last second pose." In another few seconds, he was gone.

Great Egret (I think) preparing to feed youngsters. Seen here about to regurgitate food. I arrived on High Island about 6:00 p.m. when the adults were returning after a day of foraging for food
