Just having a bit of editing fun with a shot of a stack of wooden pallets.
PS I'm sure all this editing fun is going somewhere someday.
PPS I didn't know this word was spelled "pallet." I thought it was just another meaning of "palette."
Hipstamatic is a little app that turns your (otherwise useless) Iphone camera into a vintage crappy film camera that produces charming polaroid-quality snapshots

Built between 1898 and 1930 as a sanatorium for lung diseases, Beelitz-Heilstätten (German Wikipedia entry) was one of the largest hospitals in and around Berlin. It served as a field hospital in the two world wars and was later the Soviets' major military hospital in East Germany. Abandoned in 1994 with the Russian withdrawal, most buildings have slowly fallen into ruins since. What a shame.

This is from a game way earlier in a season that I took and was absolutely terrible. I stumbled across it tonight when I was playing with CS4 and thought I'd see if I could make it at all interesting. I like how it came out a lot. I'll link to the original terrible shot in a couple of minutes.
Postprocessed into Kodachrome to preserve some living history. Especially with HFF's DC-3 in the background, seemed only proper.

I consider myself somewhat a Photoshop purist with starting my PS adventure in PS 4.0 25+ years ago. But, these new neural filters offer enhanced workflow value.

This texture is created from an original photo taken with an iPhone Hipstamatic, combined with high resolution images (taken with a Canon EOS 450) and post processed in Photoshop. The result is a high quality / resolution texture that incorporates the grainy textures of the original image.
This textures is free to use in your personal or commercial work, but you may not claim/imply it to be your own. Please credit me for the original creation.

Experimenting with postprocessing special effects this evening, and this one is using a dry paint brush special effect.
I took this photo as we walked the scenic trails of the The Audubon Nature Preserve in Eastham on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Such a beautiful walk that I'll never forget.
The Audubon Society Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary: 1,000 ac. preserve in salt marsh, wooded upland, freshwater wetlands, ponds, and fields; 5 mi. of trails in several loops of varying length start at Audubon Nature Center; road to the Center goes west from Rt. 6, 1/4 mi n. of the Wellfleet-Eastham town line. Trail maps and guide available at the Nature Center.

this is me. i'm having a bit of a southern redneck moment here.... outside the laundromat at 2am after we finished shooting. feeling a little greasy & hungover. shoulda found a screaming baby to let run circles around me. y'know, just for authenticity.
thanks to liz for taking this. i did the photoshop work for color tone. something about laundromats makes me feel all undersaturated & weird in my stomach. and itchy. so, so very itchy. especially on my feet.
