Thanks to AlexEdg for the wonderful crumpled paper texture.

Extra Zest On Black

No postprocessing.

I was cycling towards the "Parc de Sceaux" (where I shot the next panoramas I'll post) when I stumbled upon this great place. I decided to shot a panorama, so I parked the bike, unfolded and leveled the tripod, took the camera out of the bag, only to discover that I forgot to bring the plate that goes between the camera and the tripod head. Sigh :(

I'll have to make a check list for that too.

Anyway after I played with backlighting and flash, I cycled back home to get the !@#$ plate. 1h30 later I was on place again, but two lovers were lying here and I didn't want to intrude. So this panorama will be for another time.

Playing around at the lake today, then applying some heavy post processing. Shots taken with my 85mm f/1.8 lens.

Ho lavorato con Photoshop:

1) modificata esposizione, offset e gamma

2) applicato effetto variazione colore (viraggio su giallo e rosso)

3) inseriti di due livelli (automobile e sua ombra)

4) duplicata l'immagine ottenuta e desaturata per poi virarla rossa

5) modificato l'alfa dei livelli per mescolarli l'uno con l'altro.

This was part of the Altapass Apple Orchard. I HDR'ed the photo to bring out color and texture.

Can you hear the thunder crashing? I'm coming for you.

If anybody knows what is it, an explanation will be much appreciated..

In Shenandoah National Park. There are some really nice images of the falls on the internet. I expected more water, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. It was a nice 1.5mile-round-trip trek to the falls, but I went a tad too late for peak fall colors. I have realized that once the peak is over, the change is really rapid. There were many leaf-less trees already, but nevertheless got to see some good color in some lower elevations.

Lazing in bed with my iPad and a couple of blurry images, this is what happens. Good thing I didn't add medication to that mix!

Postprocessing by j3mcn :DD

I decided to have a puddle in photoshop and be a little artistic with this one. Various layers for watercolour/underpainting, some added lens flare for effect and different layer blend modes produced this image which I think is quite reasonable while remaining fairly subtle in the edits.

Probably still needs a little work here and there, but I'll leave it as is for now.

Re-Post processing an old photo. Thoughts?

40/365: (Weekly Favorite) This window sill is in the 2nd floor bathroom in Patterson Hall at NC State University. I love the old hardware on the windows and the layers upon layers of paint. The lighting that morning was perfect.

... one more week to go ...

(We are out for that day - touch wood!)

Here are the layers used in Example I below.

Hier die Ebenen, die ich im unteren Beispiel benutzt habe.
