A friend of mine dealing cards (well at least his hands are). Tried some PS postprocessing and well, i like it!
Nigel kindly stopped at several location so we could shoot photos to our hearts' content. Skoggvol Naturreservat is a wildlife reserve on Andøya.
Andøy is the northernmost municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The main island in the municipality is Andøya
Vesterålen is a district and archipelago in Nordland county, Norway. It is located just north of the Lofoten district and archipelago and west of the city of Harstad. It is the northernmost part of Nordland county and lies within the Arctic Circle (one of the five major circles of latitude that mark maps of the Earth). In 2012, it is the parallel of latitude that runs 66° 33′ 44″ (or 66.5622°) north of the Equator.
I decided to have a puddle in photoshop and be a little artistic with this one. Various layers for watercolour/underpainting, some added lens flare for effect and different layer blend modes produced this image which I think is quite reasonable while remaining fairly subtle in the edits.
Probably still needs a little work here and there, but I'll leave it as is for now.

40/365: (Weekly Favorite) This window sill is in the 2nd floor bathroom in Patterson Hall at NC State University. I love the old hardware on the windows and the layers upon layers of paint. The lighting that morning was perfect.

My honey bought us a ukelele! I just want to sit and play all day long. I'm going to be the greatest ukelele-ist that ever lived :)
Yet another shot from a set taken a year ago - clearing out the upload queue to make way for some newer sets that we've taken since then.
If you've been following the EXIF info (or my gear tags) on this set, you might be surprised to see a small change - this wasn't taken with the Summilux, but with the Zuiko Digital 50mm f/2.0. It goes to show that you can achieve roughly the same image output (including depth of field and depth of field characteristics). However, I had to stand much farther away to frame this shot - ~3.8m (12 feet) according to EXIF, whereas most of my Summilux shots were taken within 4-6 feet from the model.

The weather was warmer today, but I missed the sunshine working inside (trying to make a start on what will be a hectic crazy week). Once I finished, I decided to take a quick photo before dinner for Scarlet Sunday and Sunshine Sunday! HSS!
