Postprocessing in PhotoShop Elements by use of the filter "Poster Edges"

'War' a 1906 sculpture by Bertram Mackennal (cast in bronze) inspired by the Roman goddess of war, Bellona.

She stands, in the sculpture gardens of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, beside The Lone Pine Tree, grown from a pine cone collected at Galipoli (at the time of the Battle of Gallipolli) by a young soldier who's brother died in the battle. He sent a pine cone home to his mother and she saved it for over a decade before planting the seeds from the cone. Two trees grew from the seeds and she gave one of them to the Australian War Memorial. It is awesome...

Experimenting with post processing

Heh. For a town full of microbrews, we sure do love our Pabst Blue Ribbon:

The beer is primarily known today as the choice beverage of the counter-culture. In 2002, after years of decline, sales of PBR skyrocketed in areas like Portland, Oregon, much to the confusion of company heads. As it turned out, its low price and gritty, urban image appealed to the city's thriving indie and hipster scenes, resuscitating the brand and lending it a great deal of trendy cachet. Despite their website featuring art competitions and photos of young people dressed in alternative fashions, Pabst has chosen not to fully embrace the counter-cultural label or appeal to it arguably because the very same "authenticity" that made it popular would be challenged by over-marketing. Instead, the company has opted for subtlety, finding clever ways to target its growing niche through the surreptitious sponsorship of indie music concerts, local businesses, dive bars, and radio programming such as NPR's All Things Considered. These techniques have proven effective and have been rewarded with remarkable growth in sales- the production of PBR has more than doubled since its revival in the early 2000's. Pabst's success is seen by some analysts as a model for advertising to a new generation of media-savvy, anti-consumerist youth culture.[7][8]

Decided to take my DSLR down a cave - This is the view from the 'window'

Postprocessing includes stamping away the folds from my backdrop coz I think they're ugly. I added the poster edges filter and overlayed it to the original image adjusting opacity level to reduce lines that were too harsh; I only wanted to define some outline. I also punched the levels and saturation to get a better exposure since I had poor lighting when I did the shots.

Anyway, I have no idea if the ties go criss cross like that or the normal way up and behind the neck. This way look cuter though, but looks kinda something you'll wear to a fashion pool party or something. And it sort of chokes.

In a section of a theme park dedicated to ice creams (and next door there is one for gyozas, or Japanese potstickers), the Turkish ice cream (Dondurma) there tasted the best. It's so chewy it's unlike any ice cream I've tried.

I did not used to like to do post processing, but now I suddenly got "all into it" - and having fun. A creation out of a creation.

Still working on perfecting my post-processing technique. I'm pretty happy with this one.

reprocessing old files with current software. fuji finepix F30 6MP point-and-shoot, processed in lightroom LR4 + PTLens + photoshop CS6 + nik color efex + alienskin exposure 4.

Playing around at the lake today, then applying some heavy post processing. Shots taken with my 85mm f/1.8 lens.

Ho lavorato con Photoshop:

1) modificata esposizione, offset e gamma

2) applicato effetto variazione colore (viraggio su giallo e rosso)

3) inseriti di due livelli (automobile e sua ombra)

4) duplicata l'immagine ottenuta e desaturata per poi virarla rossa

5) modificato l'alfa dei livelli per mescolarli l'uno con l'altro.

I am putting together a series of this one crested Saguaro at the Desert Botanical Garden (DBG) in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a BW version of DBG Mumm, a foto in my first series including night time shots.

This was part of the Altapass Apple Orchard. I HDR'ed the photo to bring out color and texture.

That happens when you take a picture of people without asking. You have the finger.
