Primary Position: Builder (General Manager)
A left-handed pitcher on the 1958 NCAA champion, University of Southern California squad, Pat Gillick spent 5 years in the Baltimore Orioles system. Arm troubles would force the California native into a front office position with the Houston Colt .45s when he was just 26.
After a decade in scouting with Houston, Gillick accepted a position as coordinator of player development with the New York Yankees in 1974, before becoming the Toronto Blue Jays’ vice-president of player personnel on August 16, 1976. In his 18 years in Toronto, Gillick transformed an expansion club into World Champions.
With Gillick as GM, the Jays recorded 11 consecutive winning seasons (1983 to 1993), captured five division titles (1985, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993) and won two World Championships (1992, 1993). He became the sixth member of the Blue Jays Level of Excellence in 2002.
He’s the only GM in major league history to guide four different clubs to the playoffs. When the Philadelphia Phillies won the Fall Classic in 2008, Gillick added a third championship to his resume.
Gillick was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997, the National Baseball Hall of Fame on July 24, 2011, and the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.

just wanted to check my back is the right shape in my meditation position. getting there, but apparently my knees should be on the floor.
Using the "good old" Sony again. I sort of realized the OM-D has its flaws sensor-wise (very noisy), so why not use stellar state-of-the-art while you have such camera. So the Sony a7ii will be used more for a while now. With the great 35mm Sony-Zeiss lens.

So today I channeled a wee bit of iDuc with some mirrored glasses, a bit of Pole Position, and an "ok" picture for today.

CSX SD40-2 #8123 leads a manifest, probably H-GALCSX, off the IHB as it prepares to jump into the South Open at Barr Yard. Due to any earlier manifest entering Barr, I had to stay on the far east side of the diamond to shoot this train.

Here is a quick breakdown for my strobist 102 assignment 1.1 involving lighting angles. Source light was a single flash unit positioned at 9, 3, 4:30, 6, 7:30 o'clock at 0, 35 and 45 degree angles for each.
The flash distance was not measured so certain sections may appear brighter because of that.
