That's me posing against a fabulous gold plated bas relief of the Virgin Mary. In the background you can also see a painting of her with the infant Jesus. The Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century- this one) and Jvari Monastery (6th century- which we saw earlier) in Mtskheta are among the most significant monuments of Georgian Christian architecture, as they are both historically significant in the development of medieval architecture throughout the Caucasus. Of special significance are early inscriptions, which form a valuable reference in the study of the origins of the early Georgian alphabet. It must be the most photogenic festival I've visited in months, the crazy colorful Bungalup in Zeewolde, Holland. Put the house in carnival and use a fading bungalow park as center of this energetic universe. The result is a outrageous mdma-infused party that lasts for three days and includes a tropical swimming pool and lots of fake hair.
