Some city officials were present for the raising of the rainbow flag. One gave a short speech and then they posed for photos with the samba band. One of the officials was wearing a large, ceremonial gold chain, so I think she might be mayoress. (Brits do not have a gender-neutral term for mayor, according to my friend Paula.)
This reminds me of one of those trendy lookbook photos, its unedited but I quite like it the way it is.

When one of my cousin's got married, the wedding photographer made her and her bridesmaids stand in a row, pulling up their skirts to show their garters. She was not a happy bunny - so now at every occasion of any importance my sister and I so the same pose. Family tradition, innit?

This is one of several large white-tail deer bucks that we have in Cherry Creek State Park. There's even an 11x11 buck, but I haven't seen him in the last few weeks.
